Ventralex Hernia Patch SURGICAL TECNIQUE Repair While pulling up on the positioning strap, insert a finger or peanut sponge into the defect and in between the anterior portion of the patch and the peritoneum. Sweep circumferentially around the patch to make sure that the patch is laying flat and that there is nothing (bowel/omentum) caught between the patch and abdominal wall. EHS
