invisibile che supponeva però il circo, e diverso dal
Nuovo e Vago Realismo, con la sua ostentazione del circo
in campo e del montaggio visibile. Ma questa dell’audiovideo
non è soltanto una nuova possibilità tecnica, una
nuova condizione materiale, la quale però è fondamentale
per la buona ragione che la condizione è sostanziale
all’iniziativa. Per dirla con Karl Marx (vi ricordate la sua
meravigliosa prefazione a Per la Critica dell’Economia
Politica?): «L’umanità non si propone se non quei problemi
che può risolvere, perché, a considerare le cose da vicino,
si trova sempre che il problema sorge solo quando le
condizioni materiali della sua soluzione esistono già o
almeno sono in formazione». È anche, questa dell’audiovideo,
una nuova effettualità linguistica, da praticare e da
teorizzare. Dalle condizioni materiali ormai date alle iniziative
pratiche e teoriche possibili e per ciò necessarie.
Dunque, parlando di proiezione, la visione e l’ascolto
delle opere audiovideo si dovrebbe realizzare, per amore
di chiarezza e con l’arte della conseguenza, attraverso un
registratore e un televisore («Il di più viene dal
Maligno»). Di fronte al quale stiano un pugno di spettatori,
che si conoscono e si riconoscono, un pugno di tu.

linguistic effects, to practice and to theorise about: from the
already established material conditions to the practical and theoretical
initiatives that are possible and therefore necessary.
Therefore, to get back to the screening, the watching and listening
of audiovideo works should be done, for the love of clarity
and with the art of consequence, with a video player and a
television (“Everything that is excess comes from evil.”). In
front of which are a handful of spectators who know and recognise
each other, a handful of you.
