sixties film-maker and shaman<br />
figure Peter Whitehead. But<br />
The Falconer is more like a<br />
fragmented compilation of all<br />
the films that, in a sane world, it<br />
would be impossible to make<br />
about him. Whitehead has pubbicly<br />
expressed his outrage at<br />
the film, a bizarre speculative<br />
fiction by novelist/poet Iain<br />
Sinclair and filmmaker Chris<br />
Petit; but, if you take The<br />
Falconer’s paranoid premise to<br />
its logical conclusion, you can’t<br />
help wondering how Whitehead<br />
is complicit with their mistifications.<br />
