BIOGRAFIA
Chris Petit (1949) si laurea in Letteratura inglese all’università
di Bristol. Si avvicina al cinema come critico cinematografico
della rivista “Time Out”. Ammiratore del cinema e
delle teorie di Wenders, è proprio da lui che trova sostegno
e finanziamento per esordire nella regia, nel 1979, con Radio
On, prodotto dal BFI con la casa di produzione del regista
tedesco, la Road Movies Film Produktion. Ha pubblicato
vari romanzi e racconti.
BIOGRAPHY
Chris Petit (1949) got his degree in English Literature at the
University of Bristol. His first step toward cinema was as film
critic for “Time Out” magazine. A follower of cinema and of
Wim Wenders’ theories, it was Wenders who offered him support
and financing for his 1979 directorial debut, Radio On,
which was produced by BFI and the German director’s production
company, Road Movies Film Produktion. He has published
several novels and short stories.
