Bong Joon-ho (1969) ha studiato alla Korean Academy of
Film Arts, dove ha realizzato i corti White Man (1993) e
Frame in My Memory (1994). Il suo film di diploma,
Incoherent (1995), è stato un successo di culto. Nel 1998 ha
scritto la sceneggiatura di Phantom, The Submarine, clamoroso
successo in Corea, prima del suo debutto con Barking
Dogs Never Bite.
