BIOGRAFIA
Jerzy Skolimowski (Lodz, 1938) si laurea in etnologia, letteratura
e storia all’Università di Varsavia nel 1959 e in
regia all’Accademia cinematografica di Lodz nel 1962.
Dopo aver lavorato come sceneggiatore e attore per
Roman Polanski e Andrzej Wajda, debutta nel lungometraggio
con Rysopis. In seguito alla censura per Rece do
góry abbandona la Polonia per lavorare in Inghilterra,
Australia, Italia e USA.

BIOGRAPHY
Jerzy Skolimowski (Lodz, 1938) graduated in ethnology, literature
and history from the University of Warsaw in 1959 and in
directing from the Film Academy in Lodz in 1962. After having
worked as a screenwriter and actor for Roman Polanski and
Andrzej Wajda, he debuted as a director with the feature film
Rysopis. After his film Rece do góry was censored, he left
Poland to work in England, Australia, Italy and the US.
