Un lavoro prodotto per l’esibizione di Morimura<br />
Yasumasa allo Yokohama Museum of Art, dal 6 aprile al<br />
9 giugno 1996. Fu proiettato in un <strong>cinema</strong> vecchio stile<br />
costruito nello spazio espositivo che comprendeva fotografie<br />
di Morimura nei panni di famose attrici giapponesi<br />
e straniere. Morimura Yasumasa è stata ripresa mentre<br />
interpretava Marilyn Monroe in Quando la moglie è in<br />
vacanza. Questo film visualizza un’immaginazione<br />
rispondente a parole chiave come sesso, morte, travestimento,<br />
ostentazione, Marilyn Monroe e Morimura<br />
Yasumasa.<br />
BIOGRAFIA<br />
Ito Takashi (Furuoka, 1956) si è laureato in Arte e design<br />
all’università di Kyushu, studiando <strong>cinema</strong> sperimentale<br />
col professor Matsumoto<br />
Toshio e iniziando a realizzare<br />
i propri film. È professore<br />
associato al Kyoto College of<br />
Art. Ha vinto un premio con<br />
Zone (1995) al Festival <strong>del</strong> cortometraggio<br />
di Oberhausen. I<br />
suoi lavori includono: Spacy (1981), Box (1982), Thunder<br />
(1982), Drill (1983), Ghost (1984), Grim (1985), Wall (1987),<br />

A work produced for the Morimura Yasumasa Exhibition at the<br />
Yokohama Museum of Art, April 6 to June 9, 1996. It was<br />
shown in an old-style theater constructed within the exhibit<br />
space that featured photographs of Morimura playing famous<br />
foreign and Japanese actresses. Morimura Yasumasa was<br />
filmed playing Marilyn Monroe from The Seven Year Itch.<br />
This is a film that visualizes an imagination responding to keywords<br />
like sex, death, masquerade, ostentation, Marilyn<br />
Monroe, and Morimura Yasumasa.<br />
BIOGRAPHY<br />
Ito Takashi (Furuoka, 1956), graduated from Kyushu<br />
University of Arts and Design. In school, under professor<br />
Matsumoto Toshio’s instruction, he studied experimental filmmaking<br />
and began his own work in film. Recently, he has<br />
turned his interest to “death”.<br />
He won a prize at 42nd<br />
Oberhausen International Short<br />
Film Festival (Zone, 1995). He<br />
is an associate professor of Kyoto<br />
College of Art. His works<br />
