The Vocabulary of the Georgian Translation of Psalms
Summary
On the example of rendering the vocabulary of the Georgian translation of Psalms
(derivatives, compounds, words of a certain semantic group characteristic of the
Book of Psalms) it has been demonstrated that the vocabulary of the Georgian
language, on the one hand, and the translator’s mastery, on the other, to a greater
or lesser extent are already able to express the Christian system of notions from the
semantic, as well as formal (word-formation) viewpoints.
