Summary
The analysis of functioning of double preverbs in the text of Georgian Bible (ze-Se-,
ze-STa-, ze-aR-, Tana-Se-/mo-/mi/da-/war-, Tanad-Se, wina-aR/aRmi-, gare-mi-,
kualad-mo, winaswar-aR/gan) is in full accordance with the functioning of double
preverbs in the text of Greek Bible. This gives evidence for the assumption that the
text of Georgian Bible is translated from Greek, but not from Syrian or Armenian,
where the preverbs of this type do not exist and the same meaning is expressed
without preverbs.
