FORK OIL LEVEL<br />
For regular fork operation, both legs must be provided<br />
with the necessary oil quantity.<br />
TE: Remove the fork legs from the fork to check the oil<br />
level. Work as follows:<br />
- remove the damper rod caps;<br />
- remove springs from the legs letting the oil drain into<br />
the legs;<br />
- bring fork to stroke end;<br />
- TE: check that level is at the distance (A) of 118 mm<br />
(4.65 in.) from rod upper limit.<br />
OIL QUANTITY IN EACH FORK LEG<br />
- TC - <strong>TXC</strong>: 566 cu.cm (34.54 cu.in)<br />
Cartridge: 196 cu.cm (11.96 cu.in)<br />
Fork sleeve: 370 cu.cm (22.58 cu.in)<br />
- TE: 670 cu.cm (40.89 cu.in)<br />
ADJUSTING THE SHOCK ABSORBER<br />
Shock absorber is adjusted for vehicle running with rider<br />
and a light luggage only; by varying spring preload it<br />
can nevertheless be adjusted based on rider's weight.<br />
WARNING*: The shock absorber adjustment<br />
affects both the stability and<br />
the handling of the motorcycle. After<br />
changing the standard suspension setting,<br />
ride with care. Before making any<br />
change, it is recommended to measure<br />
the "A" reference dimension with the<br />
motorcycle resting on central stand, and<br />
the rear wheel raised off the ground.<br />

- Have motorcycle resting on ground without rider;<br />
Measure dimension "A";<br />
The difference between dimension "A" with the wheel<br />
raised off the ground and dimension "A" with the wheel<br />
on the ground shall be 40÷45 mm (1.57 ÷ 1.77 in).<br />
- Have motorcycle resting on the ground with rider sitting<br />
on it;<br />
Measure dimension "A";<br />
The difference between dimension "A" with the wheel<br />
raised off the ground and dimension "A" with the<br />
wheel on the ground and rider sitting on it shall be<br />
100÷105 mm (3.93 ÷ 4.13 in).<br />
WARNING*: Never disassemble the shock<br />
absorber, which contains compressed<br />
gas. Contact your <strong>Husqvarna</strong> Dealer for<br />
