Article offers an overview on legislative regulations of civil liability and<br />

grounds for the exemption from this liability for air transport – transfer providers.<br />

Research was conducted using the comparative – legal methodology based on the<br />

experiences Moldova, Russian Federation, Armenia, Uzbekistan and other countries’<br />

legislations, as well as in relation with Warsaw and Montreal Conventions.<br />

Court practice in Georgia is also reviewed in the Article.<br />

As a sum up, Article analyzes legal problems, that revealed the need to amend<br />

Civil Code of Georgia and Air Code of Georgia. It also focuses some of the technical<br />

shortcomings of the relevant legislation.<br />
