Today, the audio recording of the trials is done in three
courts only – in the Supreme Court, Rustavi and Mtskheta
Courts. We plan to introduce this system throughout the
Country because currently the trial secretary makes the
minutes of the hearing which it too much time consuming.
For example, that case hearing that may take only an
hour, could last three hours, this definitely hampers speedy
trail.
For this reason, the audio recording equipment will be
installed in all courts throughout Georgia. It will take
two years to make this system fully functional and at the
end we will get effective administration of justice.

Therefore, all the above mentioned facts deserve positive
appraisal – the system created by us is the precondition
for a quick and effective justice.
Recently, we had a meeting with the representatives
of the Diplomatic bodies. It is interesting
to know the opinion of the representatives
of the Diplomatic bodies and invited
foreign experts about the professionalism
of the Georgian Judges.
– Obviously, we can not exclude, that there is not a single
judge with a low qualification in the whole system, but
we are striving to eradicate this one or two cases as well.
We should also notice, that the qualification of the judges
has increased considerably and relevantly the quality of
the decisions is higher, the judges are considering the
cases more quickly and in a more qualified way. I believe
that first of all, our activities shall be evaluated by
those people who had some contact with the judiciary.
A survey was conducted in 6 big courts and it was revealed,
that 54% of the public is satisfied with the justice
performance. This result was further confirmed by
another survey that was done among those citizens that
did not have any contacts with the courts. 57% of the
respondents gave positive responses to the question
