Aims<br />

The course provides the students with<br />

comprehensive knowledge on rural and<br />

local institutional intervention.<br />

Contents<br />

During the first part of the course the evolution<br />

and the contingent situation of<br />

rural policies will be illustrated. The second<br />

part of the course will be de<strong>di</strong>cated to<br />

describing the institutional measures<br />

devoted to developing local socioeconomic<br />

systems accor<strong>di</strong>ng to sustainable development<br />

principles. Local intervention<br />

will be analysed both at international level<br />

(European Union) and at national and<br />

regional level.<br />
