Raw Materials
12% nickel silver (EN CuNi12Zn24) and stainless steel AISI 304 (EN X5CrNi18-10).
Blades and solid handle knives are made of stainless steel AISI 420 (EN X30Cr13)
having the characteristics of being hard and resistant to corrosion (long lasting cutting edges).
Exclusive Sambonet silverplating process - H§P
- purity of silver 999,5‰;
- silver layer hardness, up to 2 times more than traditional silverplating (>180 Hcv);
- sulphuration resistance up to 4 times more than traditional silverplating.
Average thickness of silver layer
- table and dessert pieces: 30 micron;
- serving and special pieces: 15-20 micron.
Thicker silver layer at rims and points which can be most easily scratched.
