Risale al XVI secolo e la tradizione vuole che sorgesse sui resti di
un lazzaretto dove avevano trovato rifugio gli ammalati di peste.
Ne sarebbe una possibile prova la collocazione dell'edificio
all'esterno del borgo un tempo protetto da mura. I tre altari sono
datati fra il Seicento e il Settecento.
Der Kirchenbau geht auf das 16. Jh. zurück. Die Grundmauern basieren
vermutlich auf der Ruine eines Lazaretts, in dem ehemals von der Pest
befallene Menschen aufgenommen wurden. Zeugnis davon legt die
Verbindung des Gebäudes mit dem Außenbereich ab, der ehemals durch
eine Schutzmauer vom Ort getrennt war. Die 3 Altäre stammen aus dem 17.
und 18. Jh.

The building dates back to the 16 century and legend has it that it was
built on the ruins of an old leprosarium where the sick found refuge during
the plague. One possible proof of this is the location of the building outside
the town itself which would in the past have been surrounded by walls.

The three altars have been dated to between the 17 and 18 centuries.
Auf dem Plateau des Steilhangs von
Nago befinden sich zwei
österreichisch-ungarische
Befestigungswerke, die zur
Absperrung der Straße nach Torbole
dienten. Das obere, auf zwei Ebenen
erbaute Werk, ist das größere. Das
aus Kalkstein erbaute
Befestigungswerk zählt zu denen,
die der ersten Generation (1860-
1861) angehören. Heute bietet es
Kunstausstellungen und einigen
archäologischen Funden aus der
Ruine von Castel Penede Platz. Im
Erdgeschoss befindet sich das
Restaurant “Forte Alto” - Osteria
Tipica Trentina. Das darunter
liegende Befestigungswerk - mit
derselben Bautechnik errichtet - ist
wesentlich kleiner und ohne
öffentliche Räume. Auch in dieser
Struktur ist ein Restaurant
untergebracht.
10 15 Forti
La balza di Nago è caratterizzata da una
coppia di forti austroungarici collocati a
sbarramento della strada per Torbole.
Il forte superiore, disposto su due livelli, è il
più grande. Realizzato in blocchi di pietra
calcarea appartiene ai cosiddetti forti di prima
generazione (1860-1861). Oggi ospita mostre
d'arte e alcuni reperti archeologici rinvenuti
presso le rovine di Castel Penede.
Al piano terra si trova il Ristorante
“Al Forte Alto” - Osteria Tipica Trentina. Il forte
sottostante è di dimensioni più ridotte e privo
di spazi pubblici, ma appare costruito con
la stessa tecnica; anche questa struttura
accoglie un ristorante.
The outcrop of Nago is the location
for a pair of Austro-Hungarian forts
which barred the road towards
Torbole. The upper fort, on two
levels, is the larger of the two. Made
out of blocks of limestone it belongs
to what are known as the first
generation forts (1860-1861). Today,
it hosts art exhibitions and houses
some of the archaeological finds
discovered around the ruins of
Castel Penede. On the ground floor
there is the Restaurant “Forte Alto” -
Osteria Tipica Trentina. The lower
fort is smaller in size and has no
spaces open to the public but would
appear to have been built using the
same techniques. This fort has also
a restaurant inside.
