26 Giardini Verdi
Realizzati all'inizio del Novecento per abbellire una città che si
stava allargando sotto la spinta del turismo e della Belle Époque.
È visibile un sarcofago di età romana venuto alla luce nella
ricostruzione delle case limitrofe.
Sie wurden zu Beginn des 20. Jh. angelegt, und zwar zur Verschönerung
einer Stadt, die sich unter dem ständig zunehmenden Ansturm des
Tourismus und als Aufenthaltsort der damaligen „Belle Époque“ immer
mehr ausbreitete. Vor einiger Zeit fand hier ein Sarkophag aus der
Römerzeit seinen Platz, der beim Wiederaufbau von Häusern am Stadtrand
ans Tageslicht kam.

The park was built at the beginning of the 20 century, adding to the
charms of a town which was growing thanks to the impetus of tourism and
the Belle Époque. In more recent times, a Roman sarcophagus was moved
here when it came to light during the reconstruction of houses on the
perimeter of the park.
27 Convento di San Francesco
Dell'antico convento rimangono il chiostro e
il tozzo campanile della chiesa demolita
all'inizio del Novecento. Sorto probabilmente
nel XII secolo, ha ospitato per secoli i
seguaci del santo di Assisi. A partire dal
1808 ha subìto traversie storiche e
modifiche architettoniche, fino a diventare
caserma e poi sede di alcuni uffici pubblici.
Vom alten Kloster blieben nur der Kreuzgang und
der gedrungene Glockenturm der Kirche
erhalten, die zu Beginn des 20. Jh. abgerissen
wurde. Das vermutlich im 12. Jh. erbaute Kloster
diente über Jahrhunderte als Lebensraum der
Jünger des Heiligen aus Assisi, bis es 1808
zunächst in historische Ereignisse verwickelt und
danach in eine Kaserne umfunktioniert wurde.
Heute sind hier einige öffentliche Ämter
untergebracht.

Francis of Assisi. From 1808 onwards, it experienced many historical
upheavals and underwent a series of architectural modifications, becoming
first a barracks and then being converted into public offices.
