6 Centrale idroelettrica del Ponale
Costruzione imponente degli anni Venti
voluta per sfruttare l'acqua del lago di
Ledro, fatta scendere con una galleria
forzata nella roccia. Il progetto porta la firma
dell'architetto Giancarlo Maroni. Il numen
aquarum che sta sulla facciata è invece
opera dello scultore Silvio Zaniboni.
Ein mächtiger Bau, in den 20er Jahren errichtet,
um das Wasser vom Lago di Ledro zu nutzen,
das durch die in den Fels gebauten
Rohrleitungen zu Tal fließt. Ein Entwurf des
Architekten Giancarlo Maroni. Der numen
aquarum, an der Fassade, ist hingegen ein Werk
des Bildhauers Silvio Zaniboni.
This imposing structure was built in the 1920s to
generate power from Lake Ledro which is
channelled through a pressurized tunnel in the
rock. The architect behind the project was
Giancarlo Maroni. The numen aquarum on the
facade was the work of the sculptor Silvio
Zaniboni.
7 Piazza 3 Novembre
Già Piazza Granda e poi Piazza Benacense, rappresenta il cuore
della città vecchia e di quella moderna. Qui trovano sede i Palazzi
Pretorio e Municipale, la torre Apponale e alcune dimore signorili.
I portici di epoca scaligera che chiudono la piazza verso il porto e
il lago un tempo ospitavano i mercati e le attività commerciali.
Einst als Piazza Granda und später als Piazza Benacense bekannt. Er ist
der pulsierende Mittelpunkt der Altstadt und der neuen Stadtviertel. Auf ihn
blicken der Palazzo Pretorio und das Rathaus, der Turm Apponale und
einige Patrizierhäuser. Die aus der Scaliger-Epoche stammenden Arkaden,
die den Platz gegen den Hafen und den See abgrenzen, boten einst Platz
für Märkte und Handel.
Formerly called Piazza Granda and then Piazza Benacense, this piazza is
the heart of both the old and modern town. It is the location for the Office of
the Podestà and the Town Hall, the Torre Apponale and some houses of the
nobility. The arcades dating back to the period of Scaligera rule, which
close off the piazza towards the harbour and the lake, used to house the
markets and shops.
