LADO is the best Croatian ensemble of folk dances and music which has been
promoting this national heritage all around the world from the beginning of their
activity in 1949. In Umag their performance will have elements from all parts of
Croatia in order to make this event richer and more interesting.

This manifestation’s characteristics are astrology, mysticism and mythology. We are
talking about a kind of astro party whose contents and symbology are based upon

the old Celtic culture which is somehow still part of our civilization. That’s where the
name of the manifestation „Lunasa“ also comes from – this people named the first
day of summer 1st August after its calendar, day when they were celebrating life and
richness of the nature. That’s the reason why Lunasa brings a scent of mysticism and
mythology which are part of the history of the Celtic peoples. During this event the
lighting system of the old town of Novigrad will be off; more will be going on in the
Novigrad episcopate park close to the sea in a romantic mystic(al) atmosphere of the
Park. Various workshops will take place like for example watching the stars under
the professional guidance of the Observatory from Visnjan, famous workshops and
seminars with this topic, jewelers stands, astronomic things and other music events.
Different types of music will be accompanying this event starting from ambient, new
age, classical music, live music or Dj sets. During Lunasa Party you will be able to taste
cocktails made especially for this occasion.
