Johan Rooze ha studiato pianoforte e direzione di coro al<br />

Conservatorio di Utrecht. Malgrado la sua formazione<br />

prettamente classica, si è specializzato nei generi Vocal<br />

Pop e Jazz Ensembles perfezionandosi con personalità del<br />

campo <strong>com</strong>e Phil Mattson, Michele Weir, Steve Zegree,<br />

Paris Rutherford, Ward Swingle, Jonathan Rathbone e<br />

Darmon Meader. Johan Rooze è direttore dei cori dell’Università<br />

di Utrecht; „Utrecht Student Choir and Orchestra“<br />

e „Dekoor Close Harmony“, quest’ultimo, un gruppo vocal<br />

jazz, premiato in concorsi nazionali ed internazionali.<br />

Con i suoi cori ha tenuto concerti in Lettonia, Austria, Italia,<br />

Croazia, Gran Bretagna, Ungheria, Polonia, Corea,<br />

Taiwan, Canada e in USA. Insegna direzione corale al<br />

Conservatorio di Alkmaar ed è direttore del Vokal Jazz<br />

Ensembles del Conservatorio di Rotterdam. Johan Rooze<br />

dirige anche la „Utrecht Bach Cantata Society“ e l’ensemble<br />

„Dudok“, una formazione di professionisti di Hilversum.<br />

È inoltre membro del <strong>com</strong>itato artistico della „Royal Christian<br />

Singers Society“ e direttore artistico del Festival Corale<br />

Internazionale <strong>2005</strong> di Arnhem (Olanda). Ha tenuto seminari<br />

in Francia, Germania, Taiwan, Corea e Curacao.<br />

Johan Rooze è direttore ospite del coro nazionale della<br />

radio “Groot Omroepkoor” ed arrangiatore e <strong>com</strong>positore<br />

di musica per ensemble vocali nonché per numerosi produzioni<br />

musicali teatrali.<br />

Johan Rooze studierte Klavier und Chorleitung am Konservatorium<br />

in Utrecht. Obwohl er hauptsächlich in klassischer<br />

Musik unterrichtet wurde, entwickelte er sich zu<br />

einem Experten für Vokal Pop und Jazz Ensembles. Er<br />

nahm an Seminaren und Meisterklassen teil und arbeitete<br />

mit Experten wie Phil Mattson, Michele Weir, Steve Zegree,<br />

Paris Rutherford, Ward Swingle, Jonathan Rathbone und<br />

Darmon Meader. Johan Rooze ist Direktor der Chöre von<br />

der Universität von Utrecht; „Utrecht Student Choir and<br />

Orchestra“ und „Dekoor Close Harmony“, ein mit nationalen<br />

und internationalen Preisen ausgezeichnetes Vokal Jazz<br />

Ensemble. Konzerttourneen mit diesen Studentenchören<br />

führten Johan Rooze nach Lettland, Österreich, Italien,<br />

Kroatien, England, Ungarn, Polen, Korea, Taiwan, Kanada<br />

und in die USA. Er unterrichtet Chorleitung am Konservatorium<br />

von Alkmaar und ist Leiter der Vokal Jazz Ensembles<br />

des Konservatoriums in Rotterdam. Johan Rooze<br />

leitet die „Utrecht Bach Cantata Society“ und das professionelle<br />

„Dudok“ Ensemble in Hilversum. Darüber hinaus<br />

ist er Mitglied des künstlerischen Komitees der „Royal<br />

Christian Singers Society“ und künstlerischer Leiter des Internationalen<br />

Chorfestivals <strong>2005</strong> in Arnhem (Niederlande).<br />

Er gab Seminare in Frankreich, Deutschland, Taiwan,<br />

Korea und Curacao. Johan Rooze ist ebenfalls Gastdirigent<br />

des nationalen Rundfunkchores (Groot Omroepkoor). Er<br />

arrangierte die Musik für Vokal Ensembles und komponierte<br />

die Musik für mehrere Musical-Theaterproduktionen.<br />

Johan Rooze studied Piano and Choral conducting at the<br />

conservatory of Utrecht. Although educated mostly in classical<br />

music, he became a specialist in Vocal Pop and Jazz<br />

ensembles. He attended workshops and master classes<br />

and worked with specialists like Phil Mattson, Michele<br />

Weir, Steve Zegree, Paris Rutherford, Ward Swingle,<br />

Jonathan Rathbone and Darmon Meader. He is director of<br />

the choirs of the University of Utrecht; The “Utrecht Student<br />

Choir and Orchestra” and “Dekoor Close Harmony” a<br />

national and international price winning Vocal jazz Ensemble.<br />

With the student choirs he made concert tours to Latvia,<br />

Austria, Italy, Croatia, England, Hungary, Poland,<br />

Korea, Taiwan, Canada and the USA. He teaches choral<br />

conducting at the Conservatory of Alkmaar, and is the<br />

director of the Vocal Jazz ensembles at the Conservatory<br />

of Rotterdam. He directs the Utrecht Bach Cantata Society<br />

and the professional “Dudok” Ensemble in Hilversum. He<br />

is a member of the artistic <strong>com</strong>mittee of the Royal Christian<br />

Singers Society (KCZB) and is the artistic manager for the<br />

International Choir Festival <strong>2005</strong> in Arnhem (the Netherlands).<br />

He taught at workshops in France,<br />

conductor for the National Radio Choir (Groot Omroepkoor).<br />

He arranges for Vocal ensembles and <strong>com</strong>posed the music<br />
