Diplomata in Arte drammatica, teoria jazzistica, arrangiamento
e musicologia, vocal e pianoforte jazz presso
il Conservatorio di Vienna, dove ha iniziato ad insegnare
nel 1983. Dal 1994 - 1995 ha insegnato presso il Conservatorio
di Weimar e dal 1998 è titolare della cattedra
di pedagogia, canto corale jazz e musica d’insieme
al Conservatorio di Graz. Dal 1983 tiene corsi di perfezionamento
e seminari in canto e tecnica vocale pop
e Jazz, svolgendo parallelamente un’intensa attività
concertistica in patria e all’estero e presso festival
nazionali ed internazionali. Ha prodotto inoltre numerose
incisioni radiofoniche e televisive sia come solista
e corista. Ha collaborato con numerosi artistici jazz in
campo internazionale fra cui la WDR Big Band, Peter
Herbolzheimer, Wayne Darling, Ellis Marsalis, Stepko
Gut e Richard Oesterreicher, l’ultimo CD „Blue Moon“,
la vede in quintetto con Thomas Huber.
Prof. Inès Reiger absolvierte ein Studium in den Fächern
Musical und Schauspiel am Konservatorium der Stadt
Wien. Es schlossen sich Studien der Jazztheorie, Arrangement,
der Theaterwissenschaft und der Musikwissenschaft
Jazzgesang und Jazzklavier an. Ihre
Lehrtätigkeit begann sie 1983 am Franz-Schubert-Konservatorium
in Wien. 1994 - 1995 nahm sie eine
Gastprofessur an der Musikhochschule Weimar an.
Seit 1998 arbeitet Inès Reiger als Professorin an der
Musikhochschule Graz in den Fächern Pädagogik,
Jazzgesang, Repertoireensemble und Jazzchor und
unterrichtet seit 1983 bei zahlreichen Workshops und
Seminaren im In- und Ausland Gesangs- und Sprechtechnik,
Pop und Jazz. Eine umfangreiche Konzerttätigkeit
führte sie ins In- und Ausland Darüber hinaus
hatte sie eigene Rundfunkproduktionen, TV Auftritte,
Gesangs- und Sprachaufnahmen für Werbung im Funkund
Fernsehen und zahlreiche Plattenaufnahmen als
Solistin bzw. Backgroundsängerin. Sie arbeitete mit
zahlreichen internationalen Jazzkünstlern zusammen,
unter anderem mit der WDR Big Band, Peter Herbolzheimer,
Wayne Darling, Ellis Marsalis, Stepko Gut
und Richard Oesterreicher. Gegenwärtiges Projekt ist die
Quintett CD „Blue Moon“, die Ines Reiger gemeinsam mit
Thomas Huber realisiert.
Prof. Inès Reiger studied music and drama at the Vienna
conservatory, then she decided to take up further studies
and chose Jazz Theory, Arrangement, Drama
Science and Musicology. Additionally Inès Reiger acquired
teaching qualification for Jazz Singing and Jazz
Piano. She began teaching at the Franz Schubert Conservatory
in Vienna in 1983 and from 1994 to 1995
she was appointed to a guest professorship at the Conservatory
of Weimar. Since 1998 Ines Reiger has been
working at the Conservatory of Graz teaching Pedagogic,
Jazz Singing, Repertoire Ensemble and Jazz Choir.
Due to considerable concert activities she went to
various places and countries, she participated in international
festivals, she had her own broadcast productions,
TV appearances, recordings for radio and TV
commercials. Furthermore she did a lot of recording as
soloist or background singer. She worked together with
numerous international jazz artists, among them the
WDR BIG Band, Peter Herbolzheimer, Wayne Darling,
Ellis Marsalis, Stepko Gut and Richard Oesterreicher. Her
current project is the Blue Moon CD which she is realizing
together with Thomas Huber.
