Non è solo il rosso Tiziano che risveglia, come i fuochi propiziatori
(non perdetevi i Pavaroi nell’Agordino il 5 gennaio), la terra bellunese.
Naturalmente è Tiziano che anima le scintillanti vetrine del capoluogo
e di Pieve di Cadore, patria del maestro. A Belluno, dalla
più rustica bottega al lussuoso atelier di moda, il Tiziano è presente
(addirittura con opere originali!) in fantasiose ispirazioni al maestro:
broccati, velluti, leziose cornici incuriosiscono l’ospite.
Tutto ruota intorno al rosso anche a Feltre, dove è aperto il nuovo
museo diocesano d’Arte Sacra, il cui emblema è un sole color
rosso seppia della stessa tonalità che campeggia nello sfondo dello
stemma della città di Feltre assieme al bianco che in questi giorni
richiama la neve e il Natale. Bianco e rosso (non solamente nella
classica domanda al banco delle osterie) ma anche nei colori dei
mercatini di Natale che da Feltre, passando per Belluno, con alcuni
paesini che li organizzano su misura nelle stalle, nelle cantine o
sotto i portici, arrivano fi no a Cortina d’Ampezzo e al suo indiscutibile
fascino natalizio. Altri sono i colori che popolano i carnevali
di montagna: da quello più terreno dei Rollate di Sappada (con
la tipica pellicciotta marrone e pesanti palle di bronzo) alle aeree
acrobazie dei Matazin: la tipica maschera del Comelico, ricca di
nastri colorati.
Non perdiamoci nelle variegate proposte del bellunese: seguiamo il
percorso suggerito dai delicati presepi che respirano nelle vetrine
di Alleghe fi no al mercatino di uno fra i più sperduti paesini del
Feltrino, Zorzoi di Sovramonte, e lasciamoci sedurre dai prodotti
tipici bellunesi che, per la durata della mostra del Tiziano, troviamo
ogni fi ne settimana nell’inconsueto giardino/museo dell’Auditorium
di Belluno (a due passi dal Palazzo Crepadona, sede della mostra).

The Belluno area comes alive this winter not only with the red shades
of the Titian exhibition and the flames of the traditional propitiatory
bonfi res on the night of the 5 th of January. It is, of course, Titian red
which lights up the glistening shop windows of the city of Belluno
and of Pieve di Cadore, the artist’s birthplace. In Belluno, Titian is
everywhere – from the humblest little shop to the most sophisticated
fashion ateliers, windows are adorned with all sorts of superb
decorations inspired by the great painter. Everything revolves around
the colour red in Feltre too, where you can visit the newly-opened
Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, the emblem of which is a sepia red
sun; the same shade can be seen, together with snowy, Christmas
white on the background of the coat of arms of the city of Feltre. Red
and white are not only the wines you can enjoy at the bar of the local
hostelries; they are also the colours which dominate the traditional
Christmas markets, which you can fi nd throughout the province,
from Feltre through Belluno on up to Cortina d’Ampezzo, with its
undisputably magical festive atmosphere. A range of different colours
typify the Carnival celebrations in the mountain areas – from the earthy
shades of the Rollate character in Sappada to the bright, colourful
ribbons which adorn the mask of the acrobatic Matazin, typical of the
Carnival celebrations in Comelico. There is something to interest
everyone as you travel through the Belluno area. You can wander
from one shop window to another in Alleghe, admiring the lovely little
nativity scenes, move on to the Christmas market held in one of the
most remote villages in the Feltrino, Zorzoi di Sovramonte, and fi nally,
give into the temptation to sample the typical products of Belluno
which, while the Titian exhibition is running, visitors can fi nd every
weekend in the original garden/museum of the Auditorium in Belluno,
practically next to Palazzo Crepadona, where the exhibition is held.
