DISTRIBUTION :
Distribution and sales of alcoholic Beverages Category B and C is under the government control.
Direct sales are only allowed for duty paid alcoholic beverages, including categories A,B and C, for on site
consumption at hotels, restaurants, bars, pubs, and night clubs. Duty free shops are allowed to sell duty
free alcoholic beverages, including categories A,B and C in certain locations.
The direct selling and/or retail of alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages products to people under
the age of 21 years is prohibitted in Indonesia.
PERMIT / DISTRIBUTOR:
Importation of Wines and Spirit are not allowed for foreign investment company, they have to
cooperate with the local company (Distributors or sub distributor) who already have the
license.
LICENSE AND DOCUMENT REQUIRED TO IMPORT OF WINES AND SPIRITS
To be approve as IT-MB (Registered Importer for Alcoholic Drinks) company must have the
followings :
1. IMPORT LICENSE ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE OF INDONESIA ;
Name : Importir Terdaftar Minuman Beralkohol or IT-MB or
“SIUP M.B.” (Import license for Minuman Ber-alkohol or Alcoholic
Drinks)
2. LICENSE ISSUED BY THE CUSTOM EXCISE DEPARTMENT OF INDONESIA
Name : “NPPBKC” (Nomer Pokok Pengusaha Barang Kena Cukai)
3. Statement/recommendation letter from Indonesian Embassy (in this case) in Rome
indicating that the Italian supplier/principal/owner of brand is authorized to appoint a
foreign distributor and that they have a distribution network.
