“General standard for the labeling of prepackaged alcoholic beverage” see attachment
The label shall indicate:
• The name, specification, net content and date of production;
• List of ingredients or formulation;
• Alcoholic strength (%);
• Producer name, address and contact information;
• Shelf life;
• Net weight and volume;
• Storage conditions;
• Code of national standard, or industrial standard, or enterprise standard for the product;
• Importer or distributor’s name, address and contact information; and
• Other information to be indicated in accordance with applicable legislation, regulation and
national food safety standards.
Note: wine and alcoholic beverages over 10 per cent alcohol volume are not required to list the
date of minimum durability (use by date/expiry date) on the label.
--The application of the Chinese labeling:
After the products arrived the local custom, the importer or deputy should apply the label to
the local custom with wine together. The customs officers will inspect the wine and the label,
and it needs to prepare the prospectus of Chinese labeling and the translation of the
prospectus.
--Tariff
For the custom duty depends on which kind of container of wine:
Dazio MFN Imposta sul VAT
consumo
Bottle holding 2 L or less 14% 10% 17%
Bulk >2L 20% 10% 17%
If the wine container is wood barile, please prepare the certificate of fumigation when the wine
enters to Chinese custom.
