Export regulations:
--Regulations and documents of export wine
According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine
of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ), imported beverage shall be inspected and approved
by the exit-entry inspection and quarantine authority when products arrived at Chinese local
customs. Customs shall only allow products with exit-entry inspection and quarantine authority
inspection certificates to be imported.
Based on the new regulation (The Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China),
when the wine products enter into Chinese custom, the following documents should be
prepared when the shipper or deputy applies for the inspection:
• Certificate of Original of production (C.O.O.) – provided by Italian authority
• B/L or airway B/L (Bill of Lading, B/L)
• Importation contract
• Importation invoice
• Packing list /Weight memo
• Insurance
• Quality and quantity certificate
• Sanitary certificate of origin - – provided by Italian authority
• Technological flow sheet of wine production (simple description with stamp)
• Chinese label and Chinese instructions
--The requirement of the inspection:
• The wine should match up the relevant certificates.
• Contents specified in the labels are or are not in accordance with the products. The
customs officers will check the sample of wine, check the quality and ingredients, the
ingredients should be the same with the descriptions on the label.
• Falling to pass the inspection, the wine is unable to be sold or used in the Chinese market.
--The regulations and laws of Labeling:
Imported wine shall have Chinese labels and Chinese instructions. Labels and instructions
shall indicate the food place of origin and the domestic agent’s name, address and contact
information. Imported wine without Chinese labels and Chinese instructions or whose labels
and instructions fail to meet requirements shall not be imported.
According to Chinese regulation of General standard for the labeling of prepackaged food,
products should have a legal Chinese label on its package (back label). The relevant
