EC.13 – Motivating platform for elderly networking, mental reinforcement and social interaction
RELEVANCE TO NATIONAL LEVEL POLICIES AND STRATEGIES
SOCIABLE is perfectly in line with National Level Policies about ICT and
ageing in general, as well as the wider e-Inclusion policies. Moreover, the
project has strongly considered the status of e-Inclusion activities towards
shaping its business plan. In the sequel, we present SOCIABLE relevance to
national policies and activities in some of the countries (Norway, Greece and
Italy), which are the countries of origin for the pilot sites involved in SOCIA-
BLE. We also illustrate how SOCIABLE complements and reinforces these
national initiatives.
WORK PLAN
Overall the project technical work will be organized along the following
groups of activities:
• Requirements and Use Cases.
• Service Definition.
• Services Specifications.
• System Implementation and Test.
• Pilot Sites Preparation.
• Pilot Operation.
• Dissemination and Marketing Activities.
• Project Management.
SOCIABLE will provide and deploy a pilot solution for integrated cognitive
training of the elderly and support of their social interactions. The
SOCIABLE pilot services will be deployed in different countries (Greece, Italy,
Norway, Spain) with the active involvement of stakeholders from the whole
value chain. SOCIABLE targets primarily mild dementia problems, and provides
support for care service provision. Self activation and daily activity support
are not part of SOCIABLE, but could be addressed through subsequent
development.
SOCIABLE will pilot integrated end-to-end solutions that involve a high
degree of innovations. SOCIABLE is not focusing on partial elements of a
solution; it is rather a turn key solution involving all relevant stakeholders,
which is also directly usable.
SOCIABLE will be piloted in seven sites (in at least 8 leisure/care centres
and many in-home deployments) with approx. 350 real users and within realistic
operational settings. Part of the evaluation of the pilot will be the production
of a consolidated set of requirements and validated functional specifications
with respect to the SOCIABLE service.
List of pilot sites
SOCIABLE will be piloted in 7 different pilot sites (Trondheim Kommune,
Hygeia, Morgagni Pierantoni Hospital, Municipality of Forlì, Fondazione
Santa Lucia-Roma, Social Policy Center of the Municipality of Kifissia,
PREVI S.L) from 4 European countries (Greece, Italy, Norway, Spain).
