Skagerrak and in Whietehead et al 1984 it is unclear from<br />

the map if is in Skagerrak or Kattegat although text says<br />

<strong>Baltic</strong> <strong>Sea</strong>.<br />

observed three times in Swedish part <strong>of</strong> Skagerrak and not<br />

According to HELCOM 2007 in Denmark based on Whitehead<br />

et al., 1986 but according to Danish records never<br />

caught with certainty in Danish saltwater and no records in<br />

Sweden. In Whitehead et al 1986 it says whole North <strong>Sea</strong><br />

coast but not in the <strong>Baltic</strong>, the map shows both Kattegat &<br />

Belt <strong>Sea</strong> but questionable how accurate the map is.<br />

According to HELCOM 2007 occurs also in Kattegat but<br />

the <strong>species</strong> have never registered in Danish waters and in<br />

Sweden only caught for sure once in Kosterrännan 1927 in<br />

Skagerrak.<br />

Included in oxyrhincus since the sturgeon occurring in the<br />

<strong>Baltic</strong> after 1800 most probably was not sturio (Gessner &<br />
