di Viaggio<br />
Quattro giorni dedicati all’Oriente al Festival del<strong>la</strong> Letteratura<br />
di Viaggio, terza edizione in programma nel<strong>la</strong> Capitale,<br />
dal 30 settembre al 3 ottobre, a Pa<strong>la</strong>zzetto Mattei a Vil<strong>la</strong> Celimontana<br />
e a Pa<strong>la</strong>zzo delle Esposizioni. Il viaggio come esperienza<br />
culturale nelle terre del Levante, dal<strong>la</strong> Puglia ad Alessandria d’Egitto,<br />
esposto nelle sue diverse forme di narrazione: fotografi a, cinema,<br />
musica, letteratura, geografi a, storia e fumetto. La sede del<strong>la</strong> Società<br />
Geografi ca Italiana al Celio si trasforma in una sorta di “casa del<br />
viaggio”, accogliendo eventi, autori e narratori. Tra gli ospiti i fondatori<br />
di Lonely P<strong>la</strong>net, Tony e Maureen Wheeler, oltre a Giuseppe Cederna,<br />
Umberto Galimberti, Predrag Matvejevic e Me<strong>la</strong>nia Mazzucco.<br />
Appuntamento da non perdere, a Via Nazionale presso lo Spazio<br />
Fontana, <strong>la</strong> mostra iconografi ca “Grande Venezia. Terre e genti, fi no<br />
a Istanbul e Alessandria”. Nell’allestimento convivono, mischiandosi,<br />
carte geografi che, libri e at<strong>la</strong>nti editi tra il XVI e il XIX secolo a fi anco<br />
di fotografi e contemporanee riguardanti l’area d’infl uenza del<strong>la</strong><br />
Venezia di un tempo, fi no a Istanbul e oltre. In programma al Festival<br />
anche una rassegna cinematografi ca dedicata a Gabriele Salvatores<br />
e un ciclo di incontri a tema presso il Tempio di Adriano.<br />
Four days dedicated to the East at the third edition of the Festival del<strong>la</strong><br />
Letteratura di Viaggio (Festival of Travel Literature), held in Rome from<br />
30th September to 3rd October. This year’s focus is on travelling as<br />
a cultural experience in the <strong>la</strong>nds of the East, in its various forms of<br />
narration. Not to be missed is the iconographic exhibition, Grande<br />
Venezia. Terre e genti, fi no a Istanbul e Alessandria (Great Venice. Lands<br />
and people, to Istanbul and Alexandria), at Pa<strong>la</strong>zzo delle Esposizioni.<br />
Pa<strong>la</strong>zzetto Mattei at Vil<strong>la</strong> Celimontana will be converted into a “travel<br />
house” welcoming guests, such as Predrag Matvejevic, Umberto<br />
Galimberti and the founders of Lonely P<strong>la</strong>net, Tony and Maureen<br />
Wheeler. A cinema exhibition dedicated to Gabriele Salvatores and<br />
theme meetings at the Temple of Hadrian will also be held.<br />
