Furygan has been involved in biker safety since 1969 and we continue our substantive 

work to this day. Continuous innovation to improve the efficiency of our 

gaments ensures that we are always in line with the expectations and requirements 

of the modern motorcyclist, but there are times when we are way ahead, 

because we still need more. Always More… 

Motion Lab is Furygan’s R&D facility. Using its 40 years of experience, 

Furygan developed an in-house, state-of-the-art testing facility identical to that 

of the official certification laboratories. This enables the company to continuously 

develop and innovate its materials and stitching and then carry out 

abrasion, tearing, ergonomic and impact testing on those materials. Motion 

Lab has so far been responsible for the creation of Skin Protect Lining, the 

Duo System and the aluminium thermal lining, among many other technologies 

that you can find in Furygan’s garments. 

Pioneers of PPE certification, Furygan authenticates its knowledge and 

development with the official certification laboratories in order to certify the 

level of performance of its products. When it comes to abrasion, cuts, tearing, 

strength of the stitching, ergonomics and impact absorption, our protective 

garments are in line with the European directive (89/686/CE) that defines what 

is classed as PPE (Personnal Protective Equipment). The motorcyclist logo 

guarantees that the garment is adapted to the risks linked to the motorcycling. 

In addition to the certifi cation as PPE, we go further in 2013 by bringing a 

new guarantee to our customers. The EN511:2006 standard reached by our 

state-of-the-art winter gloves is the proof of their performance level in terms 

of cold and water resistance.

a slide on highly abrasive asphalt, but also simulate the impact and 

mechanical stress suff ered by the materials as they make contact

all of the key characteristics of a material can fail to provide 

protection when encountering abrasion. With this in mind, the Furygan 

Motion Lab has developed unique technical solutions including

Whether it’s comfort, preservation of your room for maneuver, access 

to pockets, a responsive “feel” for the controls of your bike or 

the certainty that nothing in one of our products can injure you, ergonomics 

has always been one of our key concerns. However, there 

is also a largely unknown aspect to ergonomics, contained in the 

standards and fully incorporated by Motion Lab: having the certainty 

that the movement of the protective pads will not prevent them from 

fulfi lling their purpose.

At Furygan we refuse to compromise on the quality of the stitching, 

which is one reason why we have built a reputation of being a quality 

brand. All the stitching in our garments has been tested by the Furygan 

Motion Lab, in order to ensure they exceed the recommended 

values of the CE standards. In addition, areas exposed to abrasion in 

a crash situation are reinforced with triple stitching to avoid tearing.

Unless developed in compliance with bikers’ protective standards, 

even the fi nest materials can end up in shreds due to a simple cut 

following an impact. Furygan refuses to accept even one of its products 

being unable to off er total resistance following damage incurred 

during an impact. All of our materials have therefore been approved 

by our laboratory a er having demonstrated that they meet the necessary 

standards for cut resistance.

step 2 wind tunnel 

Each Airoh helmet is tested in the wind tunnel by highly specialized technicians, 

who evaluate their aerodynamics according to specific benchmarks, in order to 

characterize them with the maximum internal ventilation and ergonomics degrees 

ever. 

step 3 molding 

The outer shells of the Airoh helmets in thermoplastic take shape through a sophisticated 

fusion process, which perfectly combine a set of polymers of polycarbonate 

in special injection molds; the models in carbon fiber and Kevlar are 

instead the final outcome of a meticulous handmade process stratified as per the 

Multi Axial system. The inner EPS of our products is obtained through a steam 

molding process at high temperatures. The Airoh visors are printed and then 

treated with scratch resistant processes. 

step 4 painting and sewing 

The outer shell of every Airoh helmet is painted and treated with a UV filter for fulfilling 

the highest standards of quality and design, in the complete respect of the 

environment: endurance, durability and colour luster are guaranteed over time. 

The graphics of the outer shells are made by the manual application of decals, 

through a scrupulous and careful process able to give to any Airoh helmet the 

unique design that sets it apart. The latest-generation inner fabrics are highly transpiring 

and sewn by experts, as proof of the great attention that the enterprise has 

always paid to quality. 

step 5 assembling 

At the main Locatelli S.p.A. factory is placed the accurate assembly of the parts 

which make up an Airoh helmet. Before and during this process, completely executed 

by hand by skilled personnel, each component is meticulously controlled 

and possibly discarded if presents even the slightest imperfection. 

step 6 test 

Research, development and prototyping are at the heart of every Airoh branded 

project. Prototypes and final products are always undergone to extensive and accurate 

tests able to prove their complete uniformity with the strictest parameters 

imposed by the national and international standards, to ensure maximum safety 

both to our professional riders and customers.

May 17th, 1958 marks a milestone in the history of motorcycling and the 

Spanish industry: Francisco X. Bultó, supported by his team of engineers, 

founded BULTACO. In just ten months, the engineering department of the 

brand presented its first creation: The Tralla 101 motorcycle, which would 

lead to an endless list of successes. 

BULTACO achieved countless successes in disciplines as varied as road 

race, motocross, enduro and trial, giving it international recognition. Iconic 

and legendary riders such as Barry Sheene, Sammy Miller, Jim Pomeroy, 

Yrjo Vesterinen, Martin Lampkin, Ramon Torras, Ricardo Tormo or Angel 

Nieto all secured many victories and in many occasions, WorldChampionships. 

Today, the BULTACO Engineering Team wants to recognize all those who 

forged the foundations of the brand, projecting into eternity by creating

and reliable motorcycle on which the brand cemented its 

commercial and sporting successes. A light 125 cc vehicle

external plate is an hexagonal nitrile anti-shock structure (Esatech System), 

particularly formulated to absorb high impact energies and designed to dissipate 

the output energy over the whole protector surface. 

The internal padding is composed by E.V.C. (Evoluted Viscoelastic Cells), innovative 

waterproof anti-shock material with high performance/weight/thickness 

rate, completely perforated to increase perspiration from the contact area to the 

outside. The waist closing have a double elastic regulation system, excellent 

against back-aches and comfortable. 

The back protector is comfortable because it follows and satisfies the natural 

forward movement of the spinal column and reaches Lev.2 performance (4,6 

kN average result) according to the EN1621-2/03 normative while offering the

The Major Jacket is been studied to protect the back zone from collisions 

and to offer a good kidney support. Special attention have been paid to the 

waistcoat, with zip closing and elastic honeycomb-net tissue (transpiring, antibacterial

avoids the stress given by the normal braces. 

The polyurethane plates are splinter-proof in cases of blows or crashes; the 

number of plates is variable according to the zone to protect and to the user 

height. The structure underneath the plates has a Memory System of Cells 

which guarantees high shock absorption level. The plates are joined to a drop 

a wire system which guarantees the impact distribution throughout the whole 

protection surface. 

The coupled material of P.E. + tissue, which is support of the protective system, 

is soft, Transpiring and Anti-Bacterial. The lumbar belt waist closing with its
