LAGO DI GARDA - SICILIA

Terra di miti e leggende greche,
“granaio” di Roma antica, la Sicilia
è l'isola più suggestiva del Mediterraneo.
E non solo per la natura
lussureggiante e il clima sempre
gradevole, ma anche per il crogiolo
di civiltà, dai Greci ai Romani, dagli
Arabi ai Normanni, che l'ha arricchita
di inestimabili tesori d'arte. La costa
presenta paesaggi diversi e un mare
cristallino. Le montagne sono la continuazione
ideale dell'Appennino calabro,
pur mostrando caratteristiche
peculiari. I rilievi siciliani si dividono
infatti in vari sistemi, mentre la vetta
più alta dell'isola, quella del vulcano
Etna, il più grande d'Europa e
tuttora attivo, rimane discosto dalle
principali catene montuose. Il clima
è tipico mediterraneo, con estati calde
e inverni miti. Nella zona sudoccidentale,
a causa delle correnti calde
provenienti dall'Africa, il clima estivo
può essere torrido. La vegetazione è
rigogliosa e caratteristica delle zone
che si affacciano sul Mediterraneo:
dalla flora subtropicale agli arbusti
di ginepro, diffusi soprattutto sulla
sommità dell'Etna. Tra le escursioni

Die Küste bietet abwechslungsreiche
Landschaften und ein kristallklares
Meer; die verlaufenden Bergketten
sind einzigartig, wie zum Beispiel
die höchste Berg, der Ätna, der der
größte aktive Vulkan Europas ist.
Das Klima ist das typische Mittelmeerklima
mit warmen Sommern
und milden Wintern. Im südwestlichen
Teil der Insel kann bedingt
durch die warmen Luftströmungen
aus Afrika der Sommer richtig heiß
werden.
Die Vegetation ist üppig und mediterran,
von subtropischer Flora bis zu
Wachholderbüschen, vor allem auf
dem Ätna:
