The Silk range embodies an innovative concept of lighting, up-to-date with the most modern lighting design and production technologies. The refi ned appearance and the utilisation of technologically advanced materials make it visually striking as well as bringing about a sensory interaction between light source, user and space. The line voltage cable version has reduced pitch with 150mm centre distance and can be applied to wall/wall, ceiling/ wall and ceiling/ceiling. The anchoring system has been widely tested and utilizes the same technology as other Mizar cable systems. The available accessories allow to utilize Silk cable system in a simple and versatile way depending on different design needs. Angle transmission and vertical supports allow creating even geometrically complex pathways and adjustment is made possible thanks to the intelligent ‘ball’ joint system, which gives Silk cable fi xtures unequalled mobility. Although it could be considered as decorative lighting, the Silk system has all the requisites of professional lighting systems thanks to the wide range of sources and optics contained in four different lamp body sizes. The special cable structure allows to obtain two switching on confi gurations and a 5000W maximum installed power load (2500W+2500W for each switching on). The system utilises a number of sources, from fl uorescence to metal halogenides to halogen which allow to obtain both general and accent lighting for retail outlets, exhibitions and residential settings. The use of cable structures brilliantly addresses lighting design issues whenever it is impossible to provide ceiling lighting points such as in vaulted ceilings, roof trusses or glazed ceilings, or when lighting points are too high to be conveniently accessible. » Page 58 » Page 548 » Page 652 Program 2012 Mizar Information 251
