248 Serena Ensoli Vittozzi La continuata vitalità del culto isiaco nel santuario acropolitano <strong>di</strong> Cirene, in cui a partire dalla fine del IV secolo possono essere state accolte altre <strong>di</strong>vinità - sia in relazione all'evoluzione della religione pagana in quest'epoca, particolarmente del culto isiac0 265 , che in riferimento alla peculiare situazione cirenea, ove si registra attiva l'opera dei Cristiani - si pone nel quadro <strong>di</strong> quanto è attestato nella stessa età anche altrove. Il culto <strong>di</strong> Iside è documentato in Grecia sin nell'inoltrato IV secol0 266 ed in Italia anche più tar<strong>di</strong>. Al restauro del Tempio ostiense <strong>di</strong> Iside nel 376 d.C. si affianca la presenza nella zecca <strong>romana</strong> delle immagini <strong>di</strong> Iside e Serapide nel 379-395 d.C.267 Nella stessa Roma sono noti membri <strong>di</strong> famiglie aristocratiche che servirono il culto <strong>di</strong> Iside come sacerdoti nel 394 d.C.268 In Falerii veniva festeggiata la riscoperta <strong>di</strong> Osiride, onorato come «<strong>di</strong>o in vicenda», intorno all'inizio del V secol0 269 . In Egitto, poi, e nelle zone limitrofe la religione isiaca si mantenne in vita sino all'avanzato V secolo ed 0Itre2 70 . Quanto più particolarmente a Cirene, si è già accennato al fatto che Sinesio ricor<strong>di</strong> il <strong>di</strong>o Osiride insieme alle altre <strong>di</strong>vinità pagane ancora venerate nel paese 271 . Nella città il culto misterico <strong>di</strong> Iside sembra esser stato uno <strong>degli</strong> ultimi a morire. byaAnt», Suppl. VI, s.d. [1979], pp. 48 sg., n. 28, tav. XVII,I; pp. 57 sg., n. 44, tav. XXI, 1-2 (ve<strong>di</strong> anche i nn. 2, 3, 6). 265 WILD (1984, p. 1770) crede che la sala servì nel IV secolo d.C. per alcune pratiche rituali pertinenti al culto <strong>degli</strong> «old gods», tra cui era Iside, e non che essa fosse de<strong>di</strong>cata primariamente al culto <strong>di</strong> Iside e Serapide; attesterebbero questa teoria il ritrovamento <strong>di</strong> soli quattro reperti collegati <strong>di</strong>rettamente con gli dei egizi e la presenza <strong>di</strong> un'iscrizione civica, la de<strong>di</strong>ca <strong>degli</strong> efebi a Hermes e Herakles (supra, nota 263). La tesi potrebbe essere in parte sostenuta se adeguatamente connessa con la fase tardo-antica del santuario.
