Invece di una persona a double face, Gaia Servadio
ha realizzato una fusione delle sue due
nazionalità: italiana e britannica. Nella sua vita
coniugale, con William Mostyn Owen e poi con
Hugh Myddleton, e come autore bilingue di
romanzi, biografie, poesie e saggi.
La sua carriera letteraria l’ha portata a frequenti
partecipazioni pubbliche. È molto
richiesta per i talk show televisivi e conferenze,
di bella presenza è carismatica sullo schermo
e sul podio.
Quando si trova in Italia, l’estate, non manca
mai un Palio di Siena. Quella strenua gara,
istituita nel settecento, non è una mera manifestazone
turistica, anche se attira molti visitatori.

has achieved a seamless blend of her two
nationalities, Italian and British. In life as the
wife of William Mostyn Owen and then of Hugh
Myddleton, and as a bilingual author of novels,
biographies, poems and articles.
Her literary career has led to frequent public
appearances. She is in demand for tv talk shows
and lectures, and with her good looks is
charismatic on the screen and on the podium.
When in Italy in the summer she will not miss the
horse race in Siena known as the Palio. That
strenuous competition, instituted in the 18th
century, is not just a tourist attraction, though it
draws many visitors, but a real-life event with
the participation of all the Sienese citizenry.
