Alberto Papafava Antonini, Conte dei Carraresi,
è l’autore di Tra essere e l’inconscio, Note per
l’interpretazione differenziale dell’essere, pubblicato
quest’anno. Il clima del Veneto è evidentamente
propizio per questo genere di cogitazione,
dato che il cugino veneziano di Papafava,
Alvise Emo Capodilista, era un noto filosofo.
Il salone neoclassico grandioso, a Palazzo
Papafava Carraresi, Padova, visto nella foto,
era stato utilizzato per diversi anni come studio
dalla moglie di Alberto Papafava, l’artista
Irmelin Slotfeldt, i cui dipinti stilizzati in
colori acrilici sgargianti sono stati visti in
molte mostre personali. Ha fatto anche grandi
murali a Teheran e a Madrid.
Nata ad Oslo, ha studiato arte a Parigi e a Roma,
ha sposato Papafava ed è diventata italiana.
Nella sua città adottiva di Padova ha dipinto la
Via Crucis nell’Oratorio Antoniano dei Colombini
e il pallium per il Palio di Montagnana.
Nella foto sta in piedi accanto ad uno dei suoi
dipinti, nel salone. Lo spazio del salone era
troppo vasto per riscaldarlo così Irmelin decise
di piantare nel mezzo una tenda di plastica,
con dentro una stufa per poter lavorare d’inverno.
A destra, nella foto, si intravede una
delle pareti di plastica della tenda.

Alberto Papafava Antonini, Count dei Carraresi,
is the author of Between Being and the
Unconscious, Notes for a Differential
Interpretation of Being, published in Italian
this year. The climate in the Veneto is evidently
propitious for this kind of cogitation, as
Papafava’s Venetian cousin, Andrea Emo
Capodilista, was a notable philosopher.
The grandiose neoclassic salon in the Palazzo
Papafava Carraresi, Padua, seen in the photo, was
used for years as a studio by Alberto Papafava’s
wife, Irmelin Slotfeldt. The artist, whose stylized
easel paintings in bright acrylic colors have been
seen in many one-man shows, executed notable
murals in Teheran and Madrid.
Born in Oslo, she studied art in Paris and Rome,
married Papafava and became Italian. In her
adopted city of Padua she painted the Via Crucis
in the Oratorio Antoniano dei Colombini and the
pallium for the Palio of Montagnana.
She stands in the photo beside one of her paintings
in the salon. The space was so vast that it could
scarcely be heated, so she built herself a tent of
plastic sheets in its midst, with a stove inside so
that she could work there during the winter. A
corner of one of its walls appears on the right.
