The clinical relevance of RPD is still debated and the association of prenatal/postnatal RPD cut cut-off off levels with the the probability probability of of development development of of urinary urinary tract tract alterations has not been clearly defined. Aim of the study 1) to verify the association of mild RPD with the presence of nephro nephro-uropathies; uropathies; 2) to evaluate the predictivity for uropathies of different APRPD ranges a ges ( (4 (4-5 5 mm, , 66-7 6 7 mm, ,8 88-10 10 0 mm) ) in d different e e t periods (second/third pregnancy trimester, neonatal period, one month of age).
Mild, isolated, renal pelvis dilatations • 194 194 newborns (M/F 145/49 = 74.7/25.3%) • 278 dilated renal pelvis (right/left 46/54%) • Prenatal diagnosis: APRPD in II nd and III rd g trimester of pregnancy (or in one of the two!) • Postnatal checks: US at birth (delivery from Neonatal Unit) and at first, third, sixth month of age + monthly urocolture
