Dopo Leonardo, ancora un’altra eminente figura<br />
rinascimentale, del calibro di Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino<br />
(1483 - 1520), offre un ulteriore contributo alla scienza<br />
del rilevamento urbano. Nella celebre Lettera a Leone<br />
X di Baldassar Castiglioni si descrive la sua modalità di<br />
rilevamento della direzione dei setti murari perimetrali<br />
degli edifici per il tramite di una bussola graduata.<br />
