The Smith Carbine<br />
Nel periodo detto di “ transizione”,<br />
subito dopo la fine<br />
delle Guerra di Secessione,<br />
nacquero molti modelli di<br />
armi che, in varia misura,<br />
svolsero un ruolo importante<br />
nella stesura della storia americana.<br />
Una tra queste armi<br />
fu proprio la carabina Smith:<br />
molti furono i pionieri che<br />
attraversavano la frontiera<br />
armati della loro fidata carabina.<br />
La bascula incernierata<br />
permetteva una ricarica<br />
semplice e veloce persino da<br />
cavallo. La riproduzione della<br />
carabina Smith è disponibile<br />
in versione CAVALRY cl. 50,<br />
con ponticello e anello-sella,<br />
ARTILLERY, con maglietta<br />
porta-cinghia, e finemente<br />
incisa a mano.<br />
During the so called period<br />
of transition, soon after the<br />
end of the Civil War, many<br />
weapons were originated<br />
and played a more or less<br />
important role in the<br />
American history. The<br />
Smith Carbine was one<br />
of those weapons: many<br />
pioneers ventured to the<br />
West armed with their<br />
trustworthy Smiths. The<br />
hinged breech action<br />
allowed a quick and easy<br />
reload even on horseback.<br />
