Nel nuovo atelier le sorelle (gemelle) Grazia e Marica Vozza<br />
continuano a sperimentare accostamenti di pietre e<br />
nuovi intrecci che prendono poi posto nelle luminose vetrine:<br />
lunghissimi lacci di pietre dure, orecchini a spirale in<br />
oro dal design ricercato, vistosi anelli in ambra e una serie<br />
infinita di ciondoli spesso caratterizzati dalle dimensioni<br />
oversize. I pezzi unici realizzati sapientemente a mano<br />
combinando metalli preziosi a pietre che vengono scelte<br />
con una grande cura sono indossati da originali manichini<br />
in cartapesta. Scegliendo e provando tra le tante proposte<br />
esposte chi non ama i soliti gioielli qui avrà di che soddisfare<br />
i propri sensi.<br />

THE JEWELLERY ATELIER<br />

A new gallery-store in Via Fuorlovado offers designer<br />
jewellery created by Grazia Vozza Capri<br />
White arched vaulting and rose-pink Trani stone – classic Capri<br />
architecture combined with traditional Puglia stone. These are the<br />
two main elements that characterize the new boutique-atelier<br />
Grazia Vozza Capri, designed by architect Fabrizia Frezza.<br />
The spaces in this gallery-store are clearly defined for their particular<br />
purpose without being closed off, a typical characteristic of Fabrizia<br />
Frezza’s architectural design choices where the objective is to find “a<br />
rationalization of pathways and spaces so that they follow routes which<br />
allow energies to flow freely, without any obstacles or abrupt deviations”.<br />
Going down the steps that lead off Via Fuorlovado in the heart of the<br />
island’s old town centre, visitors are greeted by neutral colours and a large<br />
window that allows rays of sunshine to filter through.<br />
In this new atelier, twin sisters Grazia and Marica Vozza continue to<br />
experiment with combinations of gemstones and new, interweaving<br />
patterns which are then displayed in the brightly-lit cabinets: there are long<br />
strings of semiprecious stones, elegantly designed gold spiral earrings,<br />
stunning amber rings and a vast collection of pendants, many of them<br />
oversize. These unique pieces, which are expertly hand-crafted, combining<br />
precious metals with carefully selected gemstones, are displayed on<br />
unusual papier-mâché mannequins.<br />
For anyone who is tired of the usual jewellery, this is the ideal place to<br />
choose and try on pieces from the wide range on offer in order to find<br />
just what they are looking for. ■<br />
