all’Hotel De Russie

Hotel de Russie albergo di punta della
capitale situato in uno dei punti più
suggestivi proprio nel cuore della capitale
emana davvero grande fascino
per la sua straordinaria bellezza. Già
dopo pochi passi vi accorgerete dello splendido
scenario che si apre ai vostri occhi. Raccolto e inaspettato,
il giardino interno si inerpica con piante e
fiori variopinti su verso il Pincio. Quale destinazione
migliore per organizzare un evento davvero unico,
quale quello dedicato al mondo delle farfalle e dei
fiori. E a chi dedicare una festa di primavera se non
ai fiori e alle farfalle, colorate e impermanenti creature
da sempre capaci di trasportarci nel mondo dei
sogni? E’ questo lo spirito dell’evento che si è svolto
nel Giardino Segreto dell’Hotel de Russie di Via
del Babuino. Con la complicità della direzione dell’Hotel,
che ospita nei propri giardini una vera “Oasi
delle Farfalle” nata dalla collaborazione con il Wwf,
gli ideatori Fabio Di Gioia e Antonella Lollobattista

per la Drops Comunicazione di Roma, già nota per
l’originale e scenografica expo-ecologica “Trash
People” di 1000 uomini-spazzatura collocati in
Piazza del Popolo, e Roberto Ciambrone per La
Scenografia, hanno ideato l’installazione “Il Mondo
delle Farfalle”: una sfera del diametro di 6 metri
“geografata” come un enorme mappamondo, i cui
continenti sono composti da migliaia di fiori variopinti
e profumati e i cui oceani sono blu foncè,
mantenuti in costante movimento da una videoproiezione
interna che riprende il flusso e il suono
delle onde. E se il mondo è un giardino fiorito, i suoi
abitanti ideali sono le farfalle: accolti da modelle
che indossano antichi kimono fiorati sarà infatti
possibile entrare in una voliera di farfalle tropicali e,
con l’aiuto del noto entomologo Enzo Moretto, interagire
con loro arrivando a farsele poggiare sulle
mani. Non è forse questo il sogno di tutti i bambini,
i poeti, i sognatori? Giocare con la dimensione effimera
di quegli esseri alati, farsi inebriare dalla loro
polvere magica, carpire il mistero di una vita così
eventi
fugace. Ma il momento più emozionante sarà la liberazione
delle farfalle autoctone: in un rito collettivo
simbolo di leggerezza e di volo interiore. E’ stato
ideato anche un premio dal titolo “Farfalle Con i
Fiori” offerto da Banca Intermobiliare, dedicato alla
gara tra composizioni floreali sul tema delle farfalle.
Nell’arco della serata, un omaggio all’Africa
con la moda. Una sfilata di creazioni della stilista
“Kriell”, Cristina Pittoni, realizzate utilizzando stoffe
batik lavorate dalle donne del popolo Acholi nel
nord dell’Uganda nella scuola Bakita. Con “Farfalle
e fiori”, l’Hotel De Russie e Banca Intermobiliare
hanno voluto dischiudere le porte ai cinque sensi,
suggerendo atmosfere fiabesche e irripetibili. ■

The Hotel de Russie is a luxury hotel located in
the heart of the beautiful city of Rome, a place
of great charm for its extraordinary beauty.
The Hotel de Russie provides a stunning feature
and a splendid scenery that opens to your eyes -
extensive, terraced gardens which provide a tranquil
oasis in the Secret Garden where you can observe
rare plants and many colourful flowers with a
spectacular view on the Pincio. It was indeed the
best set to organize a unique event, devoted to the
world of butterflies and flowers. It’s the perfect location
for a party in spring, surrounded by flowers
and butterflies, light and colourful creatures that are
able to make us dream of a world of imagination.
This is the spirit of the event that is held in the Secret
Garden of the Hotel de Russie in Via del
Babuino. The project is the fruit of the work of the
direction of the hotel, that has its own “Oasis of the
Butterflies” , born with the collaboration of the Wwf.
The idea came from Fabio Di Gioia and Antonella
Lollobattista for the Drops Comunicazione in Rome,
already noted for their original art installation “Trash
People” with 1000 garbage - men put in Piazza del
Popolo and Roberto Ciambrone for his Scenography,
who have conceived the installation “The World
of the Butterflies”: a sphere of the diameter of 6
meters representing an enormous world map,
whose continents are composed of thousand of
many colored and perfumed flowers and whose
oceans are blue foncè, maintained in constant
movement by an inside videoprojection that takes
back the flow and the sound of the waves.
And if the world is blooming garden, its ideal inhabitants
are the butterflies: welcomed by models
wearing ancient flower-patterned kimonos it is possible
to enter the world of tropical butterflies and,
with the help of the reknown entomologist Enzo
Moretto, to interact with them and have them lean
on ones hands. Isn’t this this the dream all the children
and the poets ever dreamt of? Playing with the
ephemeral dimension of that winged beings, inebriating
from their magic dust, seizing the mystery of
such a fleeting life. But the most exciting moment
will be the liberation of the autochthonous butterflies:
in a collective rite that is the symbol of lightness
and of an inner flight.
A prize is been conceived, offered from the Banca
Intermobiliare, with the title “Butterflies With the
Flowers”, devoted to the competition among floral
compositions on the theme of butterflies. In the
course of the evening, there will be a tribute to
Africa and fashion. A parade of creations of the
stylist “Kriell”, Cristina Pittoni, realized using batik
fabrics, crafted by the women of the Acholi people,
in the north of Uganda in the Bakita school.
With “Butterflies and flowers”, the hotel De Russie
and Banca Intermobiliare have wanted to disclose
the doors to the five senses, suggesting dreaming
atmospheres of fairytales. ■
