He works as an archaeologist-curator of the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya -
Empúries.
Director of the collection “Guies de Patrimoni Local”, edited by the Diputació de
Girona.
Member of the Junta de l’Institut d’Estudis Empordanesos.
President of the Grup de Recerca Arqueològica del Pla de l’Estany.
Editorial Board’s member of the following series: Annals de l’Institut d’Estudis Empordanesos
and Studies on the Rural World in the Roman Period.
He has participated in some research projects of the Ministry of Science and Innovation
of the Spanish Government.
He is the director of some excavation projects in different sites: Empúries, Vilauba
(Camós), Ermedàs (Cornellà del Terri), La Quintana (Cervià de Ter), La Font
del Vilar (Avinyonet de Puigventós), Can Ventura de l’Oller (Santa Perpètua de
Mogoda).
He has published some books and articles about the Greek and Roman Empordà and
about the Romanization of the north-east Iberian Peninsula in national and foreign
journals.
He has also published some works of synthesis and local History and the coordination
of some collective books, like the Atles de l’Alt Empordà, edited by the Institut Cartogràfic
de Catalunya, Història de l’Alt Empordà and Història del Pla de l’Estany, edited
by the Diputació de Girona.
