that there was no physical space to display these objects this was the
Conclusions
The aim of the work carried out at the Iberian settlement of Sant
Sebastià de la Guarda was to make the archaeological site accessible
to the general public. This involved working on the site’s surface:
the textures, materials and shades of colour, and its spatial arrangement:
accessibility and internal routes. An attempt was made to
integrate the archaeological remains with the other heritage elements
on the mountain without altering visitors’ image of the place. The
population in general value the beauty of the landscape while local
people value the mountain because of its link to their identity.
Simultaneously, we tried to integrate the site with the other Iberian
sites in the area by looking at its specific characteristics and to contribute
to the development of the territory through the public use of
archaeological heritage.
