ITINERARI nel TERRITORIO
A SAPPADA …
con il naso all’insù
© Fabiano Nicolao
diversamente abili, offre meravigliose emozioni in uno splendido
scenario naturale.
Walks for parents and
children IN MArMOLADA
marmolada offers excellent opportunities for families with young
children looking for easy walks suitable for prams and strollers.
One of these is the 2,5 km-long gorge across the Serrai di Sottoguda:
the itinerary, along a tarmac road closed to vehicular traffic
and suitable also for the differently abled, is an exhilarating trip
through a spectacular natural landscape, and has a particularly
mysterious allure after dark, when the gorge glimmers with a faint,
suffused light.
Another 30-minute walk will take you to the sulphurous spring of
Saviner di Laste, famous as far back as roman times for its healing
properties, used for treating skin diseases... so don’t forget to take
an empty bottle with you!
Yet another easy, enjoyable walk leads to Pian de le Ris-ce, an
entirely flat path which wends its way amid fields and woodland,
through the hamlets of Col di rocca, Bosco verde and Sottoguda, on
the orographical right of the pettorina torrent.
WALKING AROUND
SAPPADA …
just enjoying the view
Springtime in Sappada is a thrilling experience. You can feel it in
the air, in the first timid rays of the spring sun; it is a sensation
which awakens and excites all five senses: the scents, the colours,
those almost imperceptible rustling, gurgling noises as the ice
melts, all come together as Nature stirs joyfully back to life. What
could be more pleasant than a simple walk under a clear sky, in
these unspoilt surroundings? Just breathe in the fresh, clean air
and marvel at the spectacular display of purple, white and pink
crocuses in bloom as they spread their delicately-coloured petals
out over the green fields.
As you go up the fifteen neighbourhoods which make up Sappada,
from Lerpa to Cima, you can find a number of itineraries, both
long and short, accessible to all, along which you can walk and
just enjoy the view as you
push a stroller or watch your
children skipping along by
your side. At various points
you can walk along the river
piave, keeping to the edge
of the woodland, and reach
the sparkling waters of the
beautiful, tiny Ziegelhütte lake,
surrounded by fir trees. As
you leave the lake behind and
go back towards Eiben (near the camper van park), you will find
another simple, pleasant route which will take you to the sports
field, near which there is a large play park where the kids can have
fun and parents can relax. in the summer, the area offers a small
but very well-equipped ranch for trekking on horseback, with the
opportunity to go on long trips, lasting all day, or short horseriding
excursions just for the pleasure of taking a quick jaunt in the
saddle, immersed in nature.
ITINERARIES WALKS
for children and adults
in spring, as the days lengthen, the snow melts and the grass becomes gradually
greener, there is a pleasant, relaxing walk to be had starting out from Falcade, in the
Biois valley, immersed in nature and far from traffic and noise.
From the centre of the village, a flat path dotted with comfortable benches leads
to the play park, where children can have some good, safe fun on the swings and
slides, while parents relax and breathe in fresh, clean mountain air. moving on
from the park, you come to the bridge over the Biois torrent, and just after that,
the natural waterfall which forms a little pool of water at the bottom; you can also
continue along the path which leads to the “Cetaceo”, a small artificial lake used for
sport fishing, on the banks of which young and old can try their hand at catching
some trout. From here the route enters into the woods along a comfortable path
which follows the bed of the torrent, reaching firstly the little village of Caviola and
then, across a little wooden bridge and walking on at an easy pace for a further two
kilometres, arrives at Canale d’Agordo. This path is just a small part of the popular
mountain bike itinerary which runs up and down between Cencenighe and Falcade:
here, both children and adults can have the chance to try out this exciting sport
with the expert guidance of the national instructors of planet Bike, the Falcade
mountain Bike School. Among the many activities on offer, it is worth mentioning the
trips organized for adults and the mountain bike courses for the younger members
of the family.
