Pedalando sulle strade del Giro
Se volete provare le emozioni di ripercorrere le strade che hanno fatto la storia del Giro
d’italia questa è un’occasione dal non perdere. Sabato 26 maggio sono in programma la Gran
Fondo e la Medio Fondo Dolomiti Stars sulle strade che ospiteranno il giorno dopo il passaggio
del Giro d’italia, con la tappa Trento - Tre Cime di Lavaredo e, due giorni dopo, la partenza di
tappa da Agordo. Due i percorsi proposti, uno di 84 ed un secondo di 134 chilometri con
partenza e arrivo ad Arabba. il tragitto lungo tocca Caprile, Agordo, il passo Duran e la val di
Zoldo, forcella Staulanza, il passo Giau e il passo Falzarego. il percorso breve da Caprile taglia
verso la val Fiorentina per poi affrontare subito i passi Giau e Falzarego.
La Gran Fondo e medio Fondo Giro d’italia sono organizzate dal consorzio Dolomiti Stars
in collaborazione con rCS Sport e si inseriscono nell’ambito del Challenge Gazzetta, un
trittico di gare organizzate da rCS Sport in italia. Sulle strade che hanno scritto la storia del
ciclismo italiano il divertimento e la soddisfazione sono assicurati.

Pedalling along the route of the Giro d’Italia
if you want to experience the emotion of cycling along the roads which have made the history of the Giro d’italia, then this is an opportunity not to be missed.
On Saturday 26th May the Dolomiti Stars long distance and middle distance races (Gran Fondo and medio Fondo) will be held along the roads which the following day
will welcome the Trent-Tre Cime di Lavaredo stage of the Giro, and the next again day the departure of the 16th stage from Agordo. participants can choose from
two routes, an 84 km one and a 134km one, both of which start from and arrive back in Arabba. The longer route goes through Caprile, Agordo, the Duran pass
and the val di Zoldo, the Staulanza, Giau and Falzarego passes, while from Caprile the shorter route cuts towards the val Fiorentina and then straight on to the
Giau and the Falzarego. The Gran Fondo and medio Fondo along the Giro d’italia route are both organized by the Dolomiti Stars consortium in collaboration with rCS
Sport; they are part of the “Gazzetta Challenge”, a series of three events organized by rCS Sport in italy. On the roads which have made the history of the italian
cycling, fun and satisfaction are guaranteed.
GRAN FONDO INTERNAZIONALE
CAMPAGNOLO
il 17 giugno 2007 si corre la tredicesima edizione della Gran Fondo internazionale
Campagnolo di Feltre. Appuntamento imperdibile per gli appassionati
di ciclismo che ogni anno giungono a Feltre persino dal porto rico, Giappone,
Australia, Stati Uniti, panama e da tutta europa. Nel 2006 furono quasi quattromila
i granfondisti pronti a scalare le montagne dolomitiche (Grigno, passo
manghen, passo rolle e passo Croce d’Aune) per tagliare il traguardo posto
nella suggestiva piazza maggiore, cuore del centro storico della cittadina
bellunese. per l’ultimo anno i ciclisti potranno scegliere di pedalare in uno dei
tre percorsi a disposizione: il Gran Fondo (212 km), il Medio (118 km) e il Corto
(102 km), dal 2008 il Corto sarà eliminato. Come da tradizione la manifestazione
è corredata da un’autentica expo, una fiera dedicata al ciclismo che si
svolge all’interno del palaghiaccio di Feltre, sede logistica e delle iscrizioni alla
corsa (per i ritardatari).
Grazie alla collaborazione con Xevents e Dolomitistars è anche possibile partecipare
ad una settimana di allenamento sulle Dolomiti bellunesi, nei giorni
precedenti la Gran Fondo Campagnolo. e il giorno prima della corsa, lo spazio
dedicato ai bambini con la Mini Gran Fondo Sportful, manifestazione identica a
quella degli adulti, ma fatta su misura per i più piccoli.

CONFRONTO TRA CAMPIONI
NELLA 24 ORE DI CICLISMO
Lo sprinter mario Cipollini ha già annunciato il suo ritorno a Feltre per partecipare
alla settima edizione della 24 ore ciclistica organizzata dal pedale Feltrino
che si correrà l’8 e il 9 giugno (partenza e arrivo alle 22). ma con lui sono già
pronti a pedalare michele Bartoli, Francesco moser (per una squadra di vecchie
glorie), Davide Cassani, marco villa e molti altri. ma ci sono soprattutto gli
amatori che si allenano per mesi in vista della maratona ciclistica di Feltre.
in gara squadre formate da 8-12 atleti che, a staffetta, pedalano per 24 ore
nel circuito di 1.850 metri realizzato in pieno centro città, rendendo ancora
più emozionante la corsa. Le formazioni arrivano da tutta italia, quest’anno
anche un team dalla Grecia e uno da Siracusa. A disposizione di ogni squadra
ci sono degli spazi tutto attorno al circuito per poter posizionare camper,
tende, gazebi in cui i team si organizzano per assicurare l’assistenza ai propri
atleti, dare loro sostegno morale e anche gastronomico. Tutto ciò permette al
pubblico di assistere allo spettacolo sportivo, ma anche a tutto il colore che fa
da contorno alla manifestazione.

CESIOMAGGIORE, the cycling vi lage
Cesiomaggiore, a pleasant village at the edge of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National park,
surrounded by charming, typical little hamlets, is also known as the “cycling village”; the
village streets have even been re-named after great cyclists from the past. The 31st of
March sees here the opening of the Bicycle Museum named after Antonio Bevilacqua, an
unforgettable cycling professional from the fifties. The museum is the brainchild of Sergio
Sanvido, a passionate cyclist and cycle-maker. Sanvido’s dedication has brought together
a collection of over 300 pieces, and is now one of the finest and most extensive in italy.
Among the most famous exhibits are the first pedal bicycle, the French michaux dating
back to 1870; the Bianchi on which Fausto Coppi won the paris-rubaix in 1950; Bartali’s
Legnano from 1947, and a whole host of other cycles which belonged to the greatest of
champions.

Cesiomaggiore, un ameno paese ai piedi del parco Nazionale Dolomiti Bellunesi
e costellato da graziose e tipiche frazioni, è conosciuto anche come
“paese del ciclismo”, tanto che le sue vie sono state ribattezzate con i nomi
dei grandi campioni del passato.
Sabato 31 marzo sarà qui inaugurato il Museo della bicicletta intitolato ad
Antonio Bevilacqua, indimenticato protagonista del ciclismo agonistico degli
anni cinquanta, nato dalla passione di un artigiano produttore di biciclette e
ciclista, Sergio Sanvido. L’impegno di Sanvido ha dato vita ad una collezione
di oltre 300 pezzi che oggi è tra le più ricche e qualificate d’italia: tra i tanti
“cimeli”, sono esposte la prima bicicletta a pedali, la francese michaux del
1870; la Bianchi con cui Fausto Coppi nel 1950 vinse la parigi-rubaix; la
Legnano di Bartali del 1947 e tante altre biciclette di grandi campioni.

LONG DISTANCE RACE
The 17th of June sees the thirteenth edition of the Campagnolo international
Long-Distance race in Feltre. The event is a must for cycling fans, who, every year,
flock to Feltre from as far afield as puerto rico, Japan, Australia, the USA, panama
and from all over europe. in 2006 almost four thousand long distance cyclists
came to climb up the mountains of the Dolomites (Grigno, manghen pass, rolle
pass and Croce d’Aune pass) in the hope of being first to cross the finishing line
in the enchanting piazza maggiore, in the heart of Feltre Old Town. This year for
the last time cyclists will be able to choose from three routes: the Long Distance
route (212 km), the Middle Distance route (118 km) and the Short Distance route
(102 km); from 2008 the shortest route will no longer be available. As usual,
alongside the event a trade fair for cycling gear and equipment will be held
inside the Feltre ice Stadium, the organizational headquarters where late arrivals
can enter for the race. Thanks to the collaboration with Xevents and Dolomiti
Stars, participants also have the opportunity to take part in a training week on
the Belluno Dolomites before the Campagnolo Long Distance race. The day before
the race itself, the Mini Gran Fondo Sportful event will be held for children – the
event is organized in exactly the same way as the adults’ event, but is designed
specially for kids.

Battle of the champions in
the 24 HOUR CYCLING RACE
The sprinter mario Cipollini has already announced his return to Feltre to
take part in the seventh edition of the 24-hour cycling race organized by
pedale Feltrino, which will be held on the 8th and 9th of June (departure
and arrival set for 10 p.m.). But Cipollini is not alone – he will be joined by
michele Bartoli, Francesco moser (for a “Golden Oldies” team), Davide Cassani,
marco villa and many others. But it is amateur cyclists above all who train
for months for the Feltre cycling marathon.
During the event, teams of 8-12 cyclists cycle, in relays, for 24 hours along
a 1850m circuit set up right in the heart of the city, which makes the race
even more exciting. The teams come from all over italy; this year there is a
team from Syracuse and even one from Greece. each team has a space set
aside for it around the circuit for camper vans, tents and gazebos so that
the teams can guarantee help and assistance for their members, providing
moral – and gastronomic! – support. All this allows spectators to watch and
enjoy not only the event itself, but also everything that goes on around it.
