CANOA, che passione!
Fantastiche discese lungo i torrenti bellunesi attendono anche
quest’anno tutti gli amanti della pratica della canoa. A ritmo di pagaia,
immersi nella splendida natura delle vallate bellunesi, affronterete
le emozionanti discese dei torrenti mis, Cordevole, Caorame o della
piave, in solitudine oppure in compagnia degli istruttori del Canoa
Club Dolomiti, l’associazione sportiva feltrina che da circa vent’anni è
impegnata nella diffusione di questo splendido sport che ogni anno
vede incrementare le fila dei propri estimatori. A tutti coloro che
vogliono cimentarsi per la prima volta in questa affascinante disciplina,
il Canoa Club Dolomiti propone un corso principianti da svolgersi in
piscina (mese di marzo), ed un corso di acqua mossa nel mese di
giugno. Non mancano le proposte adatte a soddisfare “l’appetito” degli
appassionati: discese in torrente sono organizzate con regolarità nei
week-end estivi, inoltre da questa stagione l’attività del Club sarà
ampliata con la nuova sezione dedicata all’acqua piatta, un’opportunità
unica per scoprire, in tutta sicurezza, il piacere di un’uscita in canoa
nella splendida cornice dei laghi di montagna.

Fantastic descents down the torrents in
the Belluno area await canoeing enthusiasts
once again this year. immersed
in the splendid natural surroundings of
the Belluno valleys, you can paddle your
way down the exhilarating mis, Cordevole,
Caorame and piave torrents, either alone
or in the company of the instructors of
the Dolomiti Canoeing Club, the Feltre sports
association which becomes more popular
by the year.
For all those who would like to try their
hand at this exciting sport, the Dolomiti
Canoeing Club offers a course for beginners,
held in a swimming pool (in march),

water in the month of June. There are a range of activities to whet the
appetite of canoeing fans: torrent descents are regularly organized at
weekends in the summer, and this season the Club will open a new
still-water section, thus offering an opportunity to try out canoeing in
the splendid setting of the mountain lakes, in complete safety.
LAGO DI ALLEGHE:
a pesca… di emozioni
il piacere di una passeggiata sul lungolago al tiepido sole, una timida brezza
che ti accarezza portando con sé i dolci profumi della primavera che si
risveglia… il lago di Alleghe rappresenta per turisti e residenti una splendida
cornice per una bella passeggiata all’aria aperta, ma al tempo stesso è
il regno degli appassionati della pesca! passeggiando sul lungolago, si
incrociano pescatori di ogni età, pazientemente seduti, che armeggiano
fra esche, ami e panieri, ed è qui che incontriamo pietro e Giuseppe, due
esperti pescatori, l’uno alleghese, l’altro turista che torna ad Alleghe per le
sue vacanze da ormai più di cinquant’anni. incuriositi, chiediamo a pietro
di raccontarci se e come è cambiata la pesca in questi anni. “Quand’ero
ragazzo – racconta pietro effettuando un primo lancio – qui si potevano
pescare moltissime varietà di pesce: dalle scardole alle carpe ed alle tinche.
Con gli anni ’70 la situazione è cambiata: i continui svasi hanno provocato la
scomparsa di molte specie che un tempo affollavano le acque del lago”. ma
allora, cosa si pesca oggi? “Trote – riprende pietro, senza perdere d’occhio la
lenza – sono numerosissime, anche grazie alle abbondanti semine che sono
state operate dalla Società pescatori e dal Bacino di pesca”.
Nel frattempo, il lago si sta punteggiando di piccole, colorate imbarcazioni:
chissà se vi è differenza fra il pescare da riva oppure dalla barca… “eh
sì, pescare dalla barca è sicuramente più redditizio – esclama Giuseppe
guardando sconsolato verso la trota che, invece di abboccare, ha preferito
KITESURF sul lago di Santa Croce
il kitesurf, nuovo modo di divertirsi con il vento trainati da un aquilone, ha il
suo paradiso nelle acque del Lago di Santa Croce. i “kiter” hanno a loro disposizione
la spiaggia di Farra d’Alpago, ampi spazi, acqua bassa e vento costante
sono elementi essenziali per poter apprendere questa nuova disciplina con
il massimo della sicurezza. Nelle vicinanze del campeggio si possono trovare
due scuole che seguiranno i neofiti in questa nuova avventura sportiva. il lago
di Santa Croce ha il suo periodo più ventoso in primavera, quando verso le
prime ore del pomeriggio da sud, scavalcando la Sella Fadalto, il vento “entra” e
sostiene sino al calare del sole le molteplici vele colorate dei kiter.

KITESURFING on Santa Croce Lake
The waters of Santa Croce Lake are a veritable paradise for kitesurfing, a new
way of having fun in the wind, pulled along by a kite. On the edge of the lake,
at Farra d’Alpago, “kiters” will find plenty of space, shallow water and wind: all
you need to learn this new sport in complete safety. Near the campsite there
are two schools who can monitor those new to the sport. The ideal time of
year for kitesurfing on Santa Croce Lake is the spring, when, towards early
afternoon, the wind comes over the Fadalto Saddle onto the lake and keeps the
colourful sales of the kitesurfers moving until dusk.

profondità minori”. Ci lasciamo così i nostri amici alle spalle e proseguiamo la nostra
passeggiata lungo il torrente Cordevole. Nelle vicinanze del Santuario di Santa maria
delle Grazie ecco che incontriamo altri pescatori appassionati del catch and release
o pesca a mosca, una disciplina che può essere praticata solo in aree prestabilite,
dove il pescatore percorre le sponde del torrente pescando con ami senza ardiglione
in modo da non danneggiare i pesci, che sono subito rilasciati.

fishing… for thrills
Gli appassionati della pesca sportiva non possono mancare una sosta
ai Laghetti di Lagole, in Centro Cadore. immersi nell’affascinante scenario
naturale dei laghetti, bimbi ed adulti potranno dedicarsi in sicurezza
alla pesca, basta munirsi di regolare permesso presso uno dei numerosi
punti vendita autorizzati: il permesso, a validità giornaliera, dà diritto alla
cattura di massimo cinque pezzi.
Una passeggiata lungo il facile sentiero panoramico che dal lago conduce
a Domegge e Lorenzago di Cadore, una piacevole sosta presso le sorgenti
SPORT ON THE WATER
The pleasure of a stroll along the lakeside in the warm sunshine with a soft breeze
on your face and the sweet scent of spring in the air…. For visitors and locals alike,
Alleghe Lake is not only a superb setting for an enjoyable walk in the open air; it is
also an angler’s paradise. As you walk along the lakeside, you will encounter anglers
of all ages, sitting patiently busying themselves with bait, hooks and baskets.
it is here that we meet pietro and Giuseppe, two expert fishermen, one from Alleghe
and the other a tourist who has been coming to Alleghe on holiday for over fifty
years. Our curiosity leads us to ask pietro to tell us if and how fishing has changed
over the years. “When i was a boy,” - he begins, as he casts his first hook - “here
you could catch a huge variety of fish: from rudd to carp and tench. in the seventies
the situation changed: the continual draining of the lake led to the disappearance
of many species which were once to be found in abundance in the waters.” So what
can you catch today then? “Trout”, - replies pietro, without taking his eyes off his hook - “there are loads of them, partly thanks to the Angler’s Society and the
Fishing Field, which have helped the fish to reproduce”. in the meantime, a number of small, colourful boats are beginning to appear on the surface of the lake:
we wonder if there is any difference between fishing from a boat and fishing from the banks of the lake… “Oh yes, fishing from a boat you surely catch more,”
- exclaims Giuseppe, as he gazes in disappointment at the trout which, instead of biting, has nipped off with the bait off his hook – “fishing from the bank you
can’t get down as deep”. On this note we bid our friends goodbye and continue our walk alongside the Cordevole torrent. Near the Sanctuary of Santa maria delle
Grazie we come across other anglers busy with catch and release fishing, a discipline which can only be practised in predesignated areas where anglers go along
the banks of the torrent, using hooks without barbs so as not to injure the fish, which are released immediately after being caught.

Sport fishing fans should not miss a visit to the Laghetti (little lakes) of
Lagole, in Centro Cadore. immersed in the enchanting natural landscape
of the little lakes, children and adults can enjoy a day’s fishing in complete
safety; all you have to do is get a permit from any one of a number
of authorized sales points. The permits, valid for one day, entitle you
to catch up to five fish. A stroll along the easy panoramic path which
runs from the lake to Domegge and Lorenzago di Cadore, a pleasant stop
at the sulphurous mineral water springs…..the Laghetti are also an ideal
place for families, children and the elderly to meet up and spend some

di acque minerali sulfuree… i laghetti di Lagole costituiscono anche un simpatico
punto di incontro e socializzazione per famiglie, anziani e bambini.
Agli appassionati di archeologia si consiglia inoltre una deviazione verso
pieve di Cadore, per una visita al museo Archeologico allestito presso la
magnifica Comunità, dove sono stati raccolti numerosi reperti relativi al
sito archeologico di Lagole.
