How would you show the company
activity?
We produce Shock Absorbers, so
we operate in the components
sector, with a high technological
level justified by the fact that our
shock absorbers are composed
by an elevated number of details.
Our suppliers are only European,
because we realize only shock absorbers
of quality, not using, for
example, common forming products
or products arriving from
companies we don’t know accurately
the production. When markets
know our reality, our
products, their quality and the Italian
quality, it’s unlikely we’ll meet
difficulty, because the made in
Italy product is always good perceived.
We have a good penetration
in the sector of shock
absorbers for industrial vehicles
in Europe, and we are providing
to create, in the future, joint ventures
to produce in South America
or in Asia together with local
companies. Today the obstacle is
represented by the cost of transport
on products that have a minimum
joint value. In Europe we
represent the third player of
shock absorbers market for industrial
vehicles produce for car
sector.
Which is the way of working and

of english, french and technical
designs, and carry out conventions
for evening schools; the
whole directed to valorise all the
collaborators who work with
MSA.
Which are the differences
among the two trademarks MSA
and Gimon?
MSA, Mediterr Shock Absorbers,
in addiction to be the brand of our
shock absorbers, it’s also the public
limited company’s name,
while Gimon represents, on the
contrary, the historical brand, synonym
of shock absorbers of
quality, known all over the world.
Where are your production units
located?
Our plants are sited in Asti and in
Caltanissetta with new productive
structures and completely automated
lines, which allow us to
work with the leading constructers.
Our level of quality performance
is very high, we are
growing constantly and we are
convinced that it is necessary to
concentrate our efforts on technology,
innovation, automation,
testing and tests. In the last
years we made enormous investments,
after having analysed
market situation. We made investments,
in fact, only when markets
gave us confidence, and now
we are going on, in this direction,
with the conviction that only in
this way it is possible of growing.
Recently we have created, together
with the Polytechnic of
Milan, T.I.V.E.T. – Innovative Technologies
for land vehicles –
this spin off has been created
with the aim to valorise the results
of university research in the
field of shock absorbers and in
that of the safety system active
for railway and road vehicles.
You work on After market but
also on OE, so you cooperate
with the leading constructors.
