Rainbow, un futuro
con le ali
Mentre lo scorso anno la
crisi si abbatteva sulle
economie internazionali,
in casa Rainbow si è lavorato a
nuovi progetti, sfide e investimenti.
È stata infatti ultimata e trasmessa
la quarta serie di Winx Club, con
contenuti che hanno fornito spunti
interessanti per le attività di licensing.
Ed è stata fondata Rainbow
Toys, per distribuire in Italia le
nuove linee di bambole Winx Club.
La scelta di internalizzare un altro
settore strategico del licensing -
dopo il publishing in edicola
curato attraverso Tridimensional,
società del Gruppo - conferma la
strategia di gestire direttamente
creazione e distribuzione
delle categorie
merceologiche che costituiscono
asset fondamentali
per la società.
Delle strategie di breve e
medio termine di Rainbow
parliamo con Iginio
Straffi, CEO del Gruppo.
Kazachok: Quali sono le
prospettive per il 2010
in Italia e all’estero?
Iginio Straffi: «Il 2010
sarà un anno
importante perché
L’inesauribile successo delle Winx, che dall’Italia ha contagiato
Europa e Russia, spinge Rainbow a lanciare altre sfide entusiasmanti:
internalizzazione della distribuzione, nuova serie animata, nuovo
film. E, prossimamente, anche un grande parco tematico
remo PopPixie e il secondo film
Winx Club. PopPixie è la nuova serie
Tv in 2D che stiamo realizzando e
lanceremo su scala internazionale
perché è stata preacquistata allo
scorso MipCom di Cannes da oltre
20 network europei. Insieme al
lancio della serie animata è stato
creato un piano di licensing strutturato
e coordinato che vede tra le
tante partnership due esclusive:
Ferrero per le food promotion in
Italia e altri paesi europei e Bandai
come master toy licensee che sta
definendo una ricca linea di
prodotti, sul mercato da
ottobre».
aspettate dal
bissare il successo del
gli 8milioni al box
il film in Italia sarà un
partner d’eccezione come
progetto il team Rainbow sta già
lavorando a un piano di licensing,
co-marketing e
promozioni per preparare
il lancio. Il film
Future flights for Rainbow
The never-ending success story of the Winx, which has
branched out from Italy into the rest of Europe and
Russia, has spurred Rainbow on to scale new heights,
internalising its distribution and with a new cartoon
series and a new film. The next item on the agenda is
a theme park
While the crisis overshadowed the world economy last
year, Rainbow was busy working on new projects, challenges
and investments. The 4th series of the Winx Club,
with interesting contents from a licensing point of view,
was completed and broadcast. Rainbow Toys was
founded to distribute the new line of Winx Club dolls in
Italy, continuing the group’s policy of moving the creation
and distribution of its essential assets in-house,
following in the footsteps of Tridimensional, the Rainbow
company that deals with publishing in the newsagents’
sector. We had a word with Iginio Straffi, the patron of the
Rainbow group about future strategy.
Kazachok: What's in the pipeline for Italy and abroad in
2010?
Iginio Straffi: “This autumn we’re launching PopPixie
and the second Winx Club film. PopPixie is our new Tv
series in 2D which will go out internationally because it
was bought by over 20 European networks at the last
