e le piste di scorrimento;
– ridurre, entro certi limiti, la
rumorosità di funzionamento dei
cuscinetti;
– assicurare ai cuscinetti protezione
della corrosione.
I lubrificanti per cuscinetti dovranno
rispondere ai seguenti requisiti:
– risultare stabili a livello sia fisico
che chimico;
– risultare privi di corpi estranei
provenienti dai componenti
meccanici (quali abrasivi, sostanze
metalliche, ecc.);
– presentare un coefficiente minimo
di attrito;
– non essere corrosivi;
– presentare una buona capacità
lubrificante.
Per i cuscinetti vengono impiegate due
categorie di lubrificanti:
– lubrificanti fluidi (oli);
– lubrificanti solidi/plastici (grassi).
Nella scelta del lubrificante il
coefficiente di viscosità sarà da
aumentare in misura direttamente
proporzionale alle dimensioni del
cuscinetto ed ai valori di carico e di
temperatura.
8 Bearing lubrication
Safe operating life and long rating life
of a bearing depends on the type of
lubricant and on the lubrication
method.
Bearings lubrication has the following
purposes:
– to reduce friction between
elements, cage and receway during
operation.
– to reduce, within certain limits, the
noise in bearings;
– to grant anticorrosive protection to
bearings.
Lubricants for bearings have to satisfy
the following requirements:
– they should have physical and
chemical stability;
– they should be free from foreing
mechanical substances such as
abrasive, metallic substances and
so on;
– they should have a minimal
coefficient of friction;
– they should dave a good lubricatign
capacity.
Two categories of lubricants are used
for bearing lubrication:
– fluid lubricants (oils);
– plastic lubricants (greases).
Concerning the choice of a lubricant,
the viscosity factor must be directly
and proportionally increased respect
to bearing size, value of load and
temperature.
