1.1 Scelta del cuscinetto
La scelta del cuscinetto è dettata
principalmente dalle caratteristiche
di dimensione e di carico a cui il
cuscinetto è soggetto. Le dimensioni
ed il carico sono spesso vincolate al
progetto della macchina nel suo
insieme e conseguentemente in molti
casi la scelta è limitata a ristrette
tipologie.
Non esistono regole o tabelle precise,
ma normalmente il cuscinetto a sfere
sopporta velocità elevate e carichi
ridotti, mentre il cuscinetto a rulli
sopporta carichi più elevati ma velocità
inferiori.
I limiti di velocità di un cuscinetto
volvente sono determinati dalla
temperatura di funzionamento.
Nella scelta del cuscinetto è
importante conoscere e considerare i
seguenti parametri:
– Gravosità di esercizio
– Esigenze di durata della macchina
– Limiti di ingombro del cuscinetto
– Fattori negativi (vibrazioni, urti,
calore, sporcizia, rumore accettabile,
ecc.).
Scelta delle dimensioni dei
cuscinetti.
Le dimensioni di un cuscinetto
vengono scelte considerando le
condizioni di carico alle quali verranno
sottoposti, la durata nominale di
esercizio ed i prescritti parametri di
sicurezza d'esercizio.
1.1 Choice of a bearing
Loads and dimensions are the most
important factors during the choice of
a bearing.
These two components are, in the
majority of cases, bound to the
machinery's project: the choice is
therefore restricted to limited cases.
Rules or exact tables do not exist,
usually a ball bearing bears high
speeds and low loads, whereas a roller
bearing stands lower speeds and
higher loads.
Speed limits of a bearing are
determined by working temperature.
During the choice of it, the following
rules have to be followed:
– Gravity of operation
– Machinery's duration
– Encumbrance limit of the bearing
– Negative factors, such as: vibration,
collision, heat, dirt, acceptable noise
and so on.
Selection of bearing size.
The size of a bearing is selected by
considering different factors, such as
its supposed operational life, loads to
which it is subjected and prescribed
operating safety.
