La vita di Pier<br />
Th e Life of Pier<br />
Da quando è nato, Pier Luigi trascorre ogni estate in un alpeggio<br />
di alta montagna, con le sue vacche e le sue capre, tra le<br />
cime delle Alpi Occidentali Segusine. Oggi ha quindici anni e si<br />
sente diverso da molti suoi coetanei. È fi ero di essere contadino,<br />
ama il suo lavoro, i suoi animali e la sua montagna. Non cambierebbe<br />
la sua vita, così semplice e dura, con nessuna cosa al<br />
mondo. Vuole restare a vivere e a lavorare in montagna.<br />
Since he was born, Pier Luigi has spent each summer in a pasture<br />
in the high mountains, with his cows and goats, amongst the<br />
peaks of the Western Segusine Alps. Now he is fi ft een and feels<br />
diff erent from most of his peers. He is proud to be a farmer and<br />
loves his work, his animals, and his mountains. He wouldn’t<br />
change his way of life — so simple and diffi cult — for any other<br />
in the world. He wants to remain in the mountains to live and<br />
work.<br />

musica. Dei suoi lavori come documentarista,<br />
realizza personalmente<br />
molte delle colonne sonore. Paola<br />
Novarese (1966) è autodidatta <strong>della</strong><br />
fotografi a e del video.<br />
Giovanni De Grandi (1955), passionate<br />
about fi lm and the visual arts,<br />
has studied photography and video<br />
as well as music. He has written<br />
many of the soundtracks for his own<br />
documentaries. Paola Novarese<br />
(1966) taught herself photography<br />
