Consulenti del programma, di cui sono ospiti fi ssi in studio,
sono il meteorologo Luca Mercalli che, oltre alle previsioni del
tempo, propone tematiche ambientali, e lo scrittore Roberto
Mantovani che presenta libri e fi lm dedicati alle terre alte. Ma
il programma chiede anche l’intervento del “suo” pubblico: i
telespettatori, infatti, sono invitati ad inviare loro video e fi lmati
su escursioni, gite, imprese. Dopo essere selezionati dalla
redazione, vengono messi in onda come “sigla di coda” della
trasmissione. Un mosaico molto colorato, dunque, che ha l’ambizione
di raccontare quella che è oggi – ma anche che è stata e
cosa potrà divenire – la montagna italiana. E chi la abita.

areas. But the program also relies on the participation of
“its” public: members of the television audience, in fact, are invited
to send in their own videos and fi lms about excursions, trips,
undertakings. Aft er selection by the producers, these are aired as
the “closing theme” of the transmission. Th e result is a colorful
mosaic that aims to recount not only what the Italian mountains
and their inhabitants represent today, but also what they were in
the past and what they might become.
