L'immagine è il mio lavoro,
immagine la mia passione.
Essa può essere finzione o realtà,
ma il crearla è sempre fatica,
studio costante e cultura.
La sensibilità, lo stato d'animo
dell'autore si riflettono
inevitabilmente nell'immagine da
lui creata.
La mia professione consiste nel
perpetuare l'immagine di epoche,
di fatti, di personaggi come sono
nella realtà ed identificarne in
essa l'UOMO.
A chi vuol intraprendere questa
professione posso soltanto
consigliare di osservare e
analizzare la Natura, le sue luci,
le sue ombre, i suoi movimenti.
Non per falsarne l'essenza, ma
solo per rappresentarla così
com'è.
Consiglierei soprattutto di esser
se stesso.

The image is my work, and one of my
great passions.
Hard work, constant study and
knowledge go into creating it, whether
it is real or fictitious. It is an expression
of its creator's sensitivity, and
inevitably reflects his mood.
My work consists of bringing alive
epocs, events and characters and
showing them in relation to MAN.
My advice to anyone wanting to make
a career as a Director of Photography,
is to begin by studying light, shade and
movement in Nature, analysing them
in depth.
This, not to permit you to falsify
Nature, but to re-create it as it really
is.
Above all, be yourself!
